I’m just getting back into calculus again after being a c student. Lack of preparation and a tour of duty Now I’d like to keep trying to master it.

Just started working thru this (physical) book. It is just fantastic. I wanted to review my long forgotten Calculus from my Computer Science degree to work on understanding how Machine Learning algorithms work. This book is perfectly organized and complete. Dr. Sood expertly explains and walk you thru every important concept and example with detailed solutions. I also very much like that he repeats important rules and concepts along the way, strengthening your understanding. There are many math videos on YT, but this book is better than any YT video. Lastly, the book is not a grind like others. It's quite enjoyable. Don't hesitate. This is the one your looking for.

This is an excellent book. It is extremely well organized, building to higher levels of complexity in sensible steps. There are many many examples and problems - well laid out and easy to follow. It is also comprehensive - covers everything I could think of! A handy companion for the math teacher, and it easily could be the only book needed to gain understanding and competency for the beginner student. An excellent book for the advanced student looking to brush up and review.

A great review of the topic. The information was well organized, the examples were very well explained! The exercises and explanation of the answers were very helpful! I would say this would be a helpful review prior to tests, and helpful to accompany any college or advanced placement course!

I wanted to review some calculus before tutoring a student in differential equations. This was awesome. The right quantity of problems for each topic and a good breadth of subjects. Exactly what I needed to make sure I could move on to the harder stuff.

As the title of the book implies, this is an essential skills practice workbook, and at the price, you are getting extreme bang for the buck. Problems are easy to understand without the need of pages of narritive couched in mathematician-speak. If you have had calculus before, you will very quickly regain your fluency. If you are just starting out, you will find the worked out problems and examples a real boost to getting the concepts in your class textbook.

This book saved my studies. I gave up long time ago but decided to give it a try w this workbook. Great exercises. I like how level of difficulty increases gradually as you learn more and more skills. The book not only provides examples that can be easily applied in tasks you’re supposed to solve but you can always look at the back of the book at solutions and see step by step how it’s supposed to be solved. Honestly I’m addicted to solving math problems now bcs of this and other book of this series. I’m very happy with my purchase and I can’t wait to go back to studying math.

This book is amazing for people like me who need to learn calculus concepts and refresh certain areas of calculus as it helps further your career and aids in teaching too. Moreover there are solved exercises given in workbook format. Very thoughtfully created book by Dr Sood. Thanks for writing this excellent book.

Using this for calc 2. It’s concise, the pacing is good, it provides beginner to advanced questions. You really need to do the practice questions though! Don’t just read it, try them out, even if you get it wrong, it will definitely help you
