Acceptable
Bought this for my 89 year old mother. It works, but would like to see tighter fitting parts on the uprights. They wiggle a little too much. But this is one of the few that fit on a regular bed frame.

Shortcut: Watch YOUTUBE video because instructions are horrible.
UPDATE: I was on the phone this morning with the distributer Medical Xpress who was already responding to my email and had contacted Comfort Company who is mailing out a new hardware kit for me. Hopefully the connector pins (and the tool) will be included. I'm frustrated with the product, but so far the customer service has been great.Well, for the price I would expected more. I followed the directions as best I could, but the directions are basically worthless. It didn't help that they where torn in two pieces. Thankfully, I'm pretty good at figuring this sort of thing out and I assembled it OK as I followed the photo (which didn't have the bolt information). I counted the bolts and concluded their placement. But the instructions were not clear. It still doesn't feel very stable. It was difficult to adjust the height of the side rails. Too high, and it would become disengaged from the bed frame. Too low, and the base wouldn't rest on the floor. Then there is the width adjustment. Mine is a full size, and it took me a while to figure out how to dial this in. The first time, I made it too tight in an effort to get maximum stability. But it pulled the bed frame together just enough the mattress no longer fit. So I loosened it up, and kept pushing the bed frame apart. Finally got the mattress put back onto the frame but the side still seem unstable as they wobble. Again, loosen it up, and it comes apart from bed frame, tighten it up and they float off the floor. Also, the box did not include the extra Telescopic Tube Connector Pins to adjust the halo higher. So, the circles reside at the bottom of the side bars and barely go above the mattress. I have emailed the seller and I can only hope they send the pins before my mother moves into assisted living in two days time. I finally found an assembly video on YOUTUBE which helped. I did the right stuff, but now I know how this could have been done easier. I am still mystified on how to add the handle pads.

Halo
I ordered this appliance for my mother's bed because she no longer has use of her right arm. The device is very helpful; however, it is awkward in a small room if the bed needs to be adapted for a person using their left side.

Very poor instructions. I had to improvise a brace to prevent wobbling
The product works. The instructions are terrible. They need more illustrations showing the correct orientation of the bolts, washers, and nuts. The instructions have tons of words, but refer to a woefully inadequate drawing that is both too small and lacking detail.I had to place a wooden block between the bottom of the bracket and the bed frame to prevent the handle from tipping and wobbling. Without the shim, it was way too easy to tip the halo off the rail. The bracket hooks on generic bed frames, but with our thin bed frame, the bracket didn’t stay put without adding a block of wood that I screwed into the halo bracket. With the block of wood screwed in place, the halo is rigid and does not wobble.

I received wonderful service and she helped me a great deal as ...
I had to return the Halo Bed guard for a double and bought another for the hospital as my husband was falling from the Double bed. I received wonderful service and she helped me a great deal as I am over whelmed with my husband's illness and placing him in a Memory unit

It’s ok
It’s a bit wobbly but usable. I paid for a double handle set but only got the single one. I had the option of returning it but that would mean disassembling it and putting it back in the box to return. I contacted the company about receiving the other handle though but never got a response. They could’ve at least told me they couldn’t do it but I got no response at all. For that reason alone I would never purchase something from this company again.

Does not fit well - distance from floor to bedframe.
I got this for my good friend who is 95 in an Enlivant assisted living facility. The Halo was the only bed rail they would allow (moved her from a Brookdale facility that was awful...). I bought what was marked as for ALFs- a home bed- and when we tried to install it, the pipe from the floor to the bed was not long enough. My husband had to make a wooden stand from 2 2" x 6" to raise it enough to fit the length from the floor to the bed frame.I did a LOT of research on the various types and got a lot of feedback. Nowhere are the dimensions for this device available - just general descriptions. Get with it guys - provide complete system measurements! We were stuck with your system and not information. Your website is poor in this regard also.Make your poles longer. We ended up having to drill thru the metal base to stabilize and hold it on the wooden risers that had to be made to make it work. The design and materials are good. The flexibility and specifications of the actual device are not presented - this is very poor. We had no choice or I would have abandoned it...

Not as good as I expected.
Nicely made product, but difficult to assemble and didn't fit non-hospital bed. Had to return it.
