NuGoStronger Peanut Cluster Protein S 2.82 Ounce

I’ve tried many different brands of protein bars and had sworn off them. Most are simply unhealthy, no matter what they say. They replace sugar with sugar alcohols that aren’t any different when they’re digested. Maltitol is a much loved sweetener in most bars. It’s hard on your gut and again, it digests as a sugar. These bars are sweetened with sugar. But there’s a small amount and while I wouldn’t call them delicious, if you eat a whole bar you’re getting 20+ grams of protein. I used them taking a family member in for chemo. We had to drive 4 hours and then had 10 hours of chemo. Little chance for meals and a medical issue made not eating much the only way I could manage our long days. I’d eat half in the morning, then half before our drive home. They filled me up and kept me from getting a low sugar. Again, they’re not the greatest thing I’ve ever tasted but they’re not bad!

A whey protein based, relatively low sugar protein bar, with significant fiber content. No artificial sweeteners. No soy based protein (some soy lecithin). Has a flavor and texture I find appealing for a protein bar.

This is one of my favorite protein bars in terms of flavor and texture. Keep in mind that one bar equals two servings. The only downside is that it can cause a bit of intestinal gas, especially if you eat the entire bar at one time!

I have had these bars before and they are great. Unfortunately, these 2 boxes were not. The bars were very hard and difficult to bite into. The bars appeared as those they had melted at some time. The bars I had received had obviously been sitting around way too long and were not fit for consumption.
