faulty
It may have worked for a week, I read up and set the timer. That only allowed me to do once. Then it said low salt. I added salt. too much and still low salt. I got a salt stick and it reads 5,000 parts. It should be 3300 ideal. It reads no chlorine. I add chlorine. So chlorinator is not working. I tried to chat on line waisted another hour. Amazon should ensure these things work. The manual is half a page. Trouble shooter is not helpfulI say buy at your own risk. The other review had the same problem I see

Don’t buy- Worked good for a month or two but stopped.
I’ve cleaned it thoroughly and it still doesn’t work. Shows low salt when the salt level test strips are in range and doesn’t generate chlorine. What a waste of money

Light easy in-line assembly
I live in Phoenix, AZ and installed in July. I bought this June 30, 2022 and installed it just as you see in the photos right after the filter pump. I completely redesigned my piping and also added a flow meter to determine amount of gallons per minute in order to calculate max flow rates with water changes and power usage. I have a 8000 gallon pool and the minimum PPM salt required is 3000 for this unit. At 3000, which was 6 bags (changing to a salt system always drain and refill your pool with fresh water). I ran the Boost on the unit and the second day it errored out. I had to unplug it and allow it to cool down and started it back up in the evening. The chlorinator starts to work as soon as you turn it on and runs for the specified time. At first I ran it according to the manual for an 8000 gallon pool for 5 hours but at 3000 ppm salt and only 2250 rpm pump speed it was not producing enough chlorine. I turned up the pump to 2500 for 6 hours and put an additional 2 bags of salt in to reach 4200 ppm. This seemed to do the trick to get the chlorine to 3.0. I changed the timer to 8 hours and that got the chlorine to 6.0 and it ran like a charm until the circuit board failed in early September. These settings probably had more to do with the heat and direct sun. I think I just got a bad board. I contacted customer service from their website and they reached back out the next day. I explained my situation and they said they would ship another out and I would receive it in 3-5 days. I got it on the 3rd day from Amazon. This unit is really simple to use and the only big thing I wish it had was a way to set the time and a way to schedule the chlorinator. Other than that the unit is light enough it does not need any support as long as you have a pump coupler, 90 or 45 elbow within 8 inches of each chlorinator coupler. I think it does not work well in direct sun light and I have my system completely covered so if you don't a simple sail shade works wonders for direct sun. I would also say this unit probably would do better if they designed a heatsink for the board using the pool water. I gave it 4 stars since I had one fail but now the new unit is going strong like it should.

First westahoo install
My order was through amazon, it never arrived. I had to ask the customer srrvice to send me from seller. This arrived as promised. The packaging was done very well. The product is all in one piece including salt cell. It appears well made. Very good schedule 80 two inch unions. Booklet is provided in english. Template for pipe cutting is accurate. It was easy to setup. I would love to have warranty information in the booklet and a direct number to reach for help other than email through amazon. I have set up mine for 10 hrs production daily. It has been 3 days so far with no issues. I will ipdate if any issues occur. Overall I am very happy with the product. The site states they will have salt cell self replacement units for future.

On my second unit. Both lasted 2-3 weeks max!
Works great for two weeks. Then says low salt and stops working. What a waste of money. I figured maybe just got a dud the first time. Wrong. Second one did the same thing. Save yourself the trouble and buy a name brand one.

Quality
I wasted weeks and a lot of time and money trying to figure this system out . It always said low salt and my pool was perfect on salt . I had 2 local pool companies check my water weekly and they both had the same results. No Chlorine! The system is supposed to generate chlorine so you can cut down on chemicals you add to your pool .. NopeThis unit never worked correctlyPlease read reviews before you buyI know it’s a good price , but sometimes it’s better to pay more for a nicer one .. cause in the long run with me buying chemicals and running to stores.. I could of had a better quality salt Generator.. im just saying!!!!!

Low salt light is on and it’s not low on salt
I put it in June 2023 and by the first of July it stop working. Just saying low salt and is not going off if you add more. There is no directions on how to maintenance it. Self cleaning mode doesn’t work and the salt cell is in closed in the body of it. Can’t seem to find out how to clean the cell with acid . I’m disappointed this so much money wasted. They need to be taken off the market.
