Used to Marinade and Brine Meat
Guess it has lot of uses... but my single purpose was for meat marinade and brine. Size is perfect for large BBQ prep. Often put in chickens, turkey, ribs, or roasts in for marinade or brine. Lid makes a perfect air and liquid tight seal. This is the best solution I've found for this purpose. Would recommend it to a friend. On a side note; L&L plastic containers do not microwave perfectly. It works but the plastic does absorb some of the microwaves and does get warm before the food gets warm. Turning the power down on the microwave helps. I have quite a few of the smaller L&L containers and not real happy with them. They work but are not worth the high price.

GREAT SIZE CONTAINER
I am hooked on Lock & lock. I bought many containers from QVC in the past, but since I found them on Amazon last year I've been buying them here. You cannot get this size on QVC it's huge. Let me start off by telling you why I like Lock & lock. I live in Florida, and had a problem with bugs in the kitchen. My kitchen cabinets are now full of Lock and Lock, and I no longer have problems. The first time I noticed bugs, was when I used some flour from a 5lb bag. At the time, I didn't do much baking so it was quite old. I was horrified to find tiny bugs moving around in it! I've kept the flour in the refrigerator in Lock & lock ever since. I used to store each bag of flour in a single container in the fridge, I have a lot so my fridge was cluttered. I bought this large container, to be more organized. It arrived today and I couldn't be happier, I managed to squeeze in 4 large bags of flour (I'll post picture). I had a little trouble locking the lid, so I simply squished the top a tiny bit, and the lid locked nicely. I don't use flour very often so the container sits at the back of the fridge. The handle is very useful for lifting the 20lbs of flour. Lock and lock keeps it fresh and dry. I have lock and lock in the freezer too, in different sizes, I just cannot say enough about it, it's changed my life. I even found labels on Amazon, I stick them on each container and write on them with a Sharpie marker. You can erase them with alcohol, or give them a scrub, then write on them again. I like to check out the Lock and Lock on Amazon every now and again, to see if a new size has been added. I will probably buy more of these, they are a great size for storing a lot of packets, especially if you buy in bulk. Everything is fresh and together. Lock and lock is air and water tight. Erasable Food Labels Refill, 70 labels

The handle is the key
When you are using a box this big, the handle really helps. I use these containers for many things. For heavy or awkward loads this size is very useful. I bake bread a lot and store different kinds of flour. The rectangular shaped boxes let me neatly stack several boxes holding different types of flour so they take up minimum space in my pantry. It helps that the handle is indented so the top of the box is flat. To identify my different flours I cut the label from the bag and slip it into the box where it shows through the wall so I can tell which is which. I also use this size container for cat food in the barn and bird seed which I store in my potting shed. Apparently since the food is sealed in tightly there is no scent to lure mice or squirrels and I've had no trouble with those critters getting into my stash. It's easy to move because of the handle. One such box holds a collection of gardening items, gloves, clippers, plant food and a few other items. I can carry it to my different garden areas and even leave it out since rain can't get in. In the past I've had trouble with moisture causing hand tools I stored in the barn to get rusty. Now I keep them in such a box where they stay nice and dry. These boxes are great for many items you want to protect from insects and the elements outside or in the garage, barn or garden shed as well as food items in the pantry. My daughter uses one to store all the kids' Lego pieces. I blanch a bit at the cost, but they do seem to last for a very long time and have saved me money by protecting things, as well as making my life a bit easier because of the handles.

Excellent box with tight seal
These are great. Completely air/water tight. Works very well if you have a pest problem. The size is large enough for cereal, bread, and crackers for me. The only con is that with anything airtight, you have to eat through things quickly or it gets moldy.

Good quality but expensive for what it is
Smaller than I thought, but also holds more than I thought. For reference - able to hold almost 25 lbs. of quinoa minus 8 cups. Could probably do roughly the same for rice. Nice locking hinges. For being as air-tight as claimed, they are very easy to open and close. No fear of having something slip and jam under your fingernail while trying to open/close it.

Perfect for Bulk Flour
I bake bread regularly so I go through a fair bit of flour. I buy 3 different kinds of flour in 25 lb bags, and it's tough to house that kind of volume in regular containers. I can fit 25 lbs of either white flour or whole wheat flour in one of these, and can almost fit 25 lbs of my 7 grain flour (1 loaf's worth of flour won't fit). Now, it takes a bit of jostling for it all to fit (fill, lid on, bounce lightly on counter, repeat a couple times) but it works. It's heavy as all get out, but the handle seems to be holding up fine. I hold the handle and support on the bottom, just in case (plus it's easier on the carrying arm). I use the Oxo Pops to keep my other baking staples in my pantry and it was my happy discovery that one of these is the same depth front to back as two of the large square pops - perfect! Flour keeps well in these, and critters stay out. I have four of these, and while they are pricey for a plastic container, they are well worth it.

I first found Lock & Lock from a supermarket in the UK and have been using several of their products for quite sometime. I use them for storing food in the refrigerator/freezer and also to warm them in microwave. I found that they are of good quality, leak proof and also durable. This is my first purchase of Lock & Lock products from India and the quality of the products are exactly the same as I had experienced. I believe they will last long. These are like the tupperware products. Expensive, but good quality.

bought 16kg of doves gluten free plain flour, The flour in all fairness should of been ok in the paper sack that it was sold in, but to keep as fresh as is possible decided to buy some lock and lock to decant the whole bag into. Decanting into lock and lock meant could store in different places in case exceeded the shelf safe working weight capacity. We had 7 litres caddy's with wheels on back which have lasted years so much so they do not seem available any more have been happy with their performance specially after finding critters had been in the cupboard unable to eat anything. deciding on size was some penguin maths, in the end it was guessing if 7 litres holds 2 large bags of sugar, what does 12 litres hold? we had 3 x1kg bags in a box of so many litres and calculated needed 2 x 12 litres what ever was left would go into another container we already had. The lock and lock boxes were to be delivered July 24th Amazon delivered yesterday which was fantastic. -de stickered and dish washed then stickers added back on, the draining plastic thing was not put back in -Filling we used a UK baking 1 cup measure, adding 5 cups of flour to a jug filled it level to top, 5 cups weighed 1kg on the olde spring human weight scales which were zero'd with the empty 12 litre lock and lock on, lid removed 8 jugs = 40 cups = 8kg of gluten free plain flour went into the 12 litre container with an Half inch to spare. 2 x 12 litre containers held 16kg of doves plain gluten free flour. Even with the penguin math, until it all went into the 2 containers we were unsure whether it would all fit. The lid has a fold down handle, am not going to use it with 8kg inside fear it would break. I feel certain the flour will not spoil with changes in temperature and humidity now its in the lock and lock. hope above helps. The lid fit is secure with the seal. the box is large. Its idea for crafters to retreat with, batch bakers, using the lid as a base, if you buy bulk, anything you want to keep dry and fresh.

The product is of good quality, similar to the one I already have. However during the delivery process the sides of the box is deformed and concaved inwards due to pressure from the sides.
