Ive used several different brands and types of these things and they've all failed me. So far so good with this one though it's only been a few months. Time will tell. This feels much more substantial and better quality than any of the others I've tried so that gives me hope that this one is a keeper.The float is made of a thin lightweight metal as well as the arm. The rest is brass which is typically where they've all failed in the past. The arm is a little long for my setup and that could be an issue depending on your needs.

Bougt this and i have to be honest…..one of the worst made products from china. The design..the quality. Copper shine started to wear off after 2 weeks and it couldnt seal itself to keep the water out. I had the water on trickle and it still couldnt seal. Ended up buying Aquascape, couldnt be happier

Used in a well tank to fill. Very little pressure but wouldn't stop flow after a few months.
