It’s hard to judge if this product is well until my dryer goes down after a thunder storm.I feel better that I have some additional surge protection. You should also have additional surge protection at your outside meter location.

The surge protector is working very well on my washing machine! The only complaint I have is that the writing on the surge protector is in Spanish and this fact was not listed in the product description. It doesn't mean that the item doesn't serve its purpose, I just wish it had been stated that it was in Spanish..

These are a simple concept that can save you money and hassles. Basically when the power goes out, even for a split second, these devices keep the power off. They don't turn back on until the power has been on and stable for 30 seconds. This prevents 2 important things from happening:1) power surges that are very common when power "comes back on" are far less likely to damage your device2) for machines with motors, the device has a chance to fully stop before power is restored which prevents motor burnoutWashing machines, DVRs, TVs, etc can benefit from this protection.Be aware that there is a different model of this that has a 3 minute timeout for appliances with compressors (fridge/freezers).

We live in the mountains, and sometimes our lights can flash 3-4 times during a storm with the occasional power outage. After we had a power pole flare up and cause damage to a lot of our appliances, I was determined that it wasn't going to happen again if I could help it. I have purchased one of the these for each major appliance in our house (and major to me is how much of an inconvenience and expense will it cause me if it fails). These have gotten us through a multitude of storms and outages since. I like the fact that there is a built-in power up delay to protect the surges until the power is consistently restored. Great product !

I have had one of these for two years, no issues. The most recent one burned out after two days. Never tripped for high or low voltage just fried

I've bought this to protect my washer against power surge. And it did the job. Had high wind weather this weekend and the lights flickered a lot. My washer was reset which means this powered it off so it wouldn't get damage. Highly recommended.
