Sometimes reading the reviews to see if there are repeating complaints will save you money and time.As with many others the cutter came broken, wrapping fragile items in bubble wrap does not protect it.It is still useable but lost 4 cutting slots. Also the space for cutting seems thin but its wider than the cutters so becareful to use the edge ro get your cuts even.Not particularly a good product but i got what i paid for more or less...i would say less.

I was nervous after reading some reviews! However, mine came brand new, and not broken! I cut my first batch of soap today and they look smooth and even! Very happy!!

The FIRST time I used this rip-off "soap slicer" it BROKE! I placed my soap loaf in it, proceeded to slice the first bar,and the knife just split off the last vertical piece of wood and the wood piece just BENT OVER and broke.....cheaply glued garbage!DO NOT BUY THIS. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. Maybe I can use this phony soap slicer for FIREWOOD.

I ordered this item twice because I love the idea of it. The first I bought had 1 piece broken off of it. I just received the other one and didnt even get it out of the plastic yet and can see that 3 pieces are broken.

I was nervous to purchase this after the negative comments, but decided to take a chance. It came in good shape and was packed well. I've only done one batch of soap in it so far, but it was easy to use. The wavy edge cutter worked better than the straight, but I think that has to do with the fact that the mold was still moist and it naturally wants to stick to a flat surface. Either way, no problems so far!

So for one, this is an odd width for a log of soap. There’s extra space between the log of soap and the other side of the box, so you have to hold the log of soap with one hand and cut with the other. Also, it cuts too large bars of soap. They should only be half the width. The cutters also have stained handles and the stain runs off if it even gets a little wet and can get on your soaps. Wouldn’t buy again and I don’t recommend.

The box is great the wavy/crinkle cutter is great. The straight cutter is terrible. First of all it is bowed. Second of all it is a blunt edge so it doesn’t cut easily at all. Third it is just barely wide enough across the box so if you don’t do it just right you will get crooked. Fourth, the straight cutter doesn’t cut to the bottom of the box so all my soaps have to be beveled now. It is not a clean cut. To top it off I cannot it back because you can see the wear and tear after only using it once.

I was so excited to use this loaf cutter, however the spaces are are a bit wide and the cutter bends causing the soaps to be slanted.
