I'm a fan of Dexter-Russell knives and this one is no exception. First time owning a roast/slicer knife and it has made a big difference. I'm now able to take leftover roasts from dinner and slice deli thin slices for lunch sandwiches. It came extremely sharp out of the package. I haven't had to sharpen it yet, but have had good luck sharpening the other Dexter knives that I've had. The handle is non-slip and easy to clean. If you cook/grill a lot of roasts like we do, you need a roast slicer and this is a good one for the money.

I have had two other Dexter fillet knifes for almost ten years and loved them so thats why I purchased this one to cut meats that we cook on the smoker. Dexter knifes are sharp and when they need to be are easy to put edge back on them. I have used it several times so far and I am very please with it. It is the perfect size, does a great job for half the price of similar knifes.Only improvement I can see would be if it came with a slim cover to protect the edge and fingers while stored in a drawer.

The low price is thumbs up, good sharp slicer does its job. The couple cons are handle is bit smaller than expected, and the blade itself is little bit bendable and sometimes won't get perfect slice.

Works better than my electric slicer. Seems like a quality blade for a very low cost. Razor sharp out of the package. I can slice better with it than I can with my electric slicer which admittedly is not a great one but was still 10 times more expensive than this knife

Nice knife, especially for the price. You will have to touch up the edge after a couple of uses, but again- you aren’t buying a top of the line knife.
