All in all, if you are looking for a solid gaming headset, the Jeecoo G80 is an excellent choice.
So, my first impression when I open the box was whoa this is kind of huge. And then when I started feeling the pads around, I felt like this could be extremely comfortable.Alright, now let's talk about the physical aspect of this wireless gaming headset. The strap is wide enough to make it feel that you are wearing a headset. I believe much of it is padding and the strap that holds the earcups is relatively thin. Meaning it is comfortable around your head. The earcups themselves are quite comfortable as well. I like this style specifically because it is over-ear. It covers my entire ears. On the outside of both earcups, you will see the Jeecoo logo. The nice thing here is both sides have an LCD light in them. The not-so-nice thing is you can’t control them. You can only turn it off but short pressing the on/off button. I don’t think it’s a deal breaker though.Once you pass that, you will notice that all the buttons and attachments are located on the left earcup on the backside. The right earcup has no buttons whatsoever. This makes it easier as you know that all the controls are on the left earcup. It makes it easier to remember. I think that is a good design.Talking about buttons and controls, let’s look at them. The 4 buttons that you see here control a specific function. From the top, you’ll see that power on and off button which also doubles as the LCD light switch. Then the volume up button and the mute button. The mute button doubles the switch for 7.1 surround. And lastly the volume down button. I like the positioning of these buttons as it makes it easier to memorize which button is which. Then if you go further down, you will see that USB-C port. This is used for charging the headset. The Jeecoo G80 takes about 3 hours to be charged fully. Once full, you can use it for 12 hours with the LED lights on or 24 hours with the LED lights off.Moving along you will see an indicator light to let you know when the G80 headset is on, in case the LED lights are off. And lastly, you will see the audio jack when you want that feeling of being wired down.Ok, not let’s talk about the microphone bar. It is removable. So, in that sense, you can use this without the mic just as a headphone. It is easy to install but just as easy to make a mistake in installing. Just make sure that the hole on the mic is facing toward your mouth. With any headphones, the most important part would be the sound. For gaming headsets, the most important parts would be the sound and the voice. So, let’s talk about the audio quality first. I used this headset mainly to play Dota 2 and I can tell you that the audio quality is good. The nuances are clear. When the source of the audio is somewhere on the right, you will know. I can hear my characters moving and the likes. So, it is good.I also tried and used G80 headset to watch something on Netflix. I like how the conversation sounded like it was on top of every other audio present. The conversations and dialogues become very clear. I like that. But I personally will not use this for music listening. I can’t really hear the dynamics when it comes to music. Plus, it’s quite on the heavy side that will probably bother me after a few hours. Not that it is marketed for listening to music anyway. The voice output is quite good. I was talking to my team and asked them about the clarity of my voice, and they all said that it was crystal clear. One even said that his volume is on the lower end, and he can still hear me loud and clear. I also used the mic to dictate the first section of this review and Microsoft word was spot on even with my accent and all.I can confirm that you can use this with a laptop and PC. I also tried the Jeecoo G80 on Nintendo Switch and it worked fine. It didn’t work on my TV though and not on my Roku Streambar.Installation-wise, it’s literally plug-and-play. No need to fiddle with anything. Plug in the receiver into an extra USB slot. Turn the headset on and done. Even with the Nintendo switch, plug and play. Having a Wi-Fi receiver is better than Bluetooth in this sense. There is no lag whatsoever. Maybe that is because I was less than 2 feet away from my PC. But even with the Nintendo Switch, I was about 5 feet away and there was still no lag. So connectivity-wise, the Jeecoo G80 is solid. All in all, if you are looking for a solid gaming headset, the Jeecoo G80 is an excellent choice. It can be used by novice, occasional and even hardcore players. Based on the looks, how it feels, the quality of the build and the quality of the receiver, I think the G80 will last a while on normal use. But only time can tell. Maybe I can update this review in about 6 months. Better yet, I will update this review in 6 months.

I pick up this headphones because I was interested on how they would sound and how much sound would be canceling in my room. They are the best headphones for the price!I love how they feel in my head especially since after a while I didn’t feel them anymore. If your looking for some budget headphones that will look and sound great.
