This phone is not compatible with Google Fi service. ASUS doesn't mention it anywhere on their site, and Google Fi only told me that after I tried to resolve the issue and contacted them for service. Also, a few quirks that I find irritating in the few days that I've used it (on wifi only). It feels more like a phone at half the price. Cameras are OK, nothing to write home about. Overall an average experience, with a few bugs in the launcher. I'm returning it because I can't use it with my provider (Yes, it's GSM).

Battery life is good, sound quality is great, phone size is great. Andriod 13 and s great.Camera is great.100% happy.Have been using it for a Month. No complaints.I live in Cape Town and 5G is always on when it's available in certain areas else its on 4G+.

This review replaces an earlier negative review I've just clicked to ask to delete. I purchased US version direct from ASUS. ATT (perhaps T Mobile also) users MUST get to ATT for current SIM cards and to activate. Otherwise you will NOT connect to ATT network. This is ASUS marketing shortcoming which may be losing sales for them! It took quite a while to call ATT to verify US Zenfone 8 and 9 are certified for the ATT network.Overall I am very happy with performance and features. The compromise is the smaller size that I would otherwise go for,You will have to develop some new 'muscle memory' in your fingers in order to use the screen swipes to change views between open app and in order to bring up some of the preference setting icons. Main settings icon is not on screen either, and I added that to main bottom icon dock,I use MX media player to change my ringtone from the standard offerings.The headphone jack is main reason I bought this instead of latest Moto edge.IF you vlog, attaching phone to a holder, it will have to be way over to the end of phone, as the fingerprint reader and volume control take up much of the right side of the phone. There is nothing on the left edge of phone.There is camera hole on left upper corner of screen, which may interfere with menu or swing down if that's where you touch.Fingerprint reader is very sensitive. You may need to adjust it, or not use.. Having 256Gb storage does mean I am OK with not having a micro SD slot anymore.

Asus zenphone 9 doesn’t compatible with PC games and PS5 games. It can’t open exe file. The asus official doesn’t mention that.

If you want a small powerful phone this is it. It's smaller than the SG22 and more powerful. I really like it. If you're having mobile data issues, check and configure the APN. I had a mini heart attack.
