CloudWire - 2.4GHz Rechargeable Digital Wireless System for Guitar, Bass, and other Instruments

I was not sure if it would work with my Taylor acoustic guitar Expression System 2.Since the description says it only works with "passive" pickups, and the Taylor operates on a 9V battery.But I still decided to order one to give it a try.To my surprise, it worked out of the box! The sound quality is great. Can't feel any delay or distortion.It actually works better than a cable with significantly lower noise.The only problem is that, no matter how long I charge the the transmitter,after I turn it on, only 4 (instead of all 5) LEDs are on.Not sure if it is a battery problem, or a circuitry problem.Did one more test today after charging the transmitter overnight.And the transmitter lasted less than 2 hours.The receiver is fine, still had 3 LEDs on when the transmitter died.Edit: After yesterday's test, I charged them overnight again.Now the transmitter does not even work. It always turns itself off right after being turned on.It seems the battery can't hold any charge at all.Leave 2 stars for the sound quality when it works.Sending it back...Edit 1/28/2018: The seller contacted me and sent me a replacement today.After I fully charged Tx and Rx, they ran for 5.5 hours before the transmitter was out of juice.The receiver still had 2 leds on at that time.I'm going to charge them overnight and run another test tomorrow.BTW, I also tested the AUX in on the Tx and the earphone output on the Rx.They worked quite well, except that: they are mono and you can tell there are some loss of quality.Edit 1/29/2018: Charged overnight and tested again today.The run time was 4.5 hours for transmitter. Receiver had 3 leds on when the transmitter died.Since 4.5 hours should be enough for most used cases, I give 4 stars.Hope the run time won't continue to drop.BTW, I found one transmitter can simultaneously work with two receivers!

This is a pretty slick wireless unit. I needed something affordable and was pleasantly surprised with the performance of this. The tone loss is minimal and it's so easy to carry around.It comes neatly packaged with the transmitter, receiver, usb cable for charging, and a booklet. I got the black model.It doesn't get much simpler to use; plug the transmitter into your guitar and the receiver into your amp or pedal board. The units sync automatically and you're ready to go! The units are rechargeable and keep a charge for a long time.It even comes FULLY CHARGED! Well done!All in all, this is a really cool wireless set. If you're looking for something inexpensive and sleek, check these out!

This is the 2nd set I bought. I had to return the first set because the charge went from 5 to 3 in about 20 minutes and the distance I could move the transmitter from the receive was about 8 feet. I knew then and there that this was a bad set I bought. I replaced the first set with these. (Side notethe return was done with no issues)So far this 2nd set does the job. I still think the amount of charge time is less than advertised but this 2nd batch is nowhere near what the first set was doing. Also the 2nd set I received was slightly better construction. The devices bend to allow the user to place them in a way where they best fit the instrument. When you bend them they stay in place. The hold is strong. The praise of this device goes to the fact that you have just 2 devices (receiver goes to the amp or effects pedals and transmitter goes to the instrument) that need to power supply to run. Just make sure to recharge them regularly to ensure you have a full charge.I do not hear any loss of tone and the sound is as good as if I was using an instrument cable. With the bluetooth the devices connect to each other in seconds. Plus the device plugs right into the input jack and you are all set to play. I have a epi les paul and the connection is strong. I have not lost a signal yet. The minor issue I have with the device is when it goes into the instrumnet (guitar) is that it will sometimes move when my leg hits it. I am more afraid that it will come out but so far it has not and I dont think it will.I play on a worship team and previously I had 2 guitars that I would switch from and it got tricky at times when I had to switch guitars and avoid getting cables twisted and tangled. I usually will run these devices a few hours and there is still plenty of charge. This 2nd set still has 4 out of 5 on the charge after I am done playing after about 3 hours. In my opinion Coda Music Technologies knows how to make a great product.

Really impressed with this digital wireless guitar system. It pairs quickly, has great wireless range and plugs into all input jack styles. The blue LEDs are really helpful for knowing how much battery life is left and they charge quickly with the included Y-USB cable. There is absolutely no tone loss so it sounds identical to playing with a cable. Love it!

I bought this product a year ago, and it worked fairly well initially, but there was always the occasional dropout, so I have never used it for live gigs - just practice and rehearsals.Over the last few months, its run time has diminished, and it will now only last a few hours before needing to be recharged.I have a Shure PGXD which I use for all my live work (I play in 5 bands), and it has never had any issues, but of course it is 3 times the price.Overall, I have been rather disappointed with this product, but you get what you pay for!

Generally works well, within the same room. There is no apparent lag or distortion in the signal. The battery life seemed to get better with time. Really beats dragging a cable around, and works perfect at home for practice.UPDATE: I had an issue with the transmitter, and the supplier immediately sent me a new one. Excellent customer service.
