Middle AtlanticProducts SECL Security Cover - 2 Rack Spaces

This is a wonderfully useful device for hiding the rack's ugly bits... I have two of them in the lab console aboard my boat. One covers a coax patch panel for radios and antennas; the other covers a 24-port switch and a shelf with a 13-port USB hub. The blinkies are nicely visible though the smoked acrylic panel, but the cabling is hidden, and it also allows me to control airflow in an area that needs to remain accessible for easy service. There is a little noise attenuation as well.Note that if you use this to cover a connector panel that is on the bottom 1U of this 2U space, ethernet ports or coax connectors directly behind the lock may not have enough clearance for stiff cables. If that is an issue, you could easily use a Velcro tab to the bottom instead, move the lock on one (or both) ends over the rack ears for security, or arrange things so the connectors are on the upper rackspace. Ethernet connectors without boots work fine, however, and that's what I do here.It's a good looking product that blends in well and hides the messy stuff... would buy again.

I've got a situation where my employees like to jack with the equipment after I've set it. Finally I purchased one of these face plates. Now I can set and forget and it's easy to see through the clear front to make sure all is cooking aok. Great units, precise fit and super value.
