Safety hazard
The title here may sound a bit melodramatic, but I'm serious: Wearing these shoes anywhere near a wet, smooth surface is much worse than playing Russian Roulette, where you only have a one-in-six chance of losing. In these shoes, you will slip. Almost guaranteed. The idea that these are considered boat shoes would be laughable if it weren't so preposterous. Sperry must know how dangerous they are but seems unwilling to do the engineering required to make them safe, not just on boats, but everywhere. Walk on wet grass: Slip. Walk on a wet sidewalk: Slip. On a boat deck or near a pool: Farewell to You My Fair Spanish Ladies.I've owned probably 10 pairs of these shoes over the past 25 or 30 years. I wear them day-in, day-out for everything from going to the beach to going to a fine restaurant. About three or four years ago, something changed. I don't know what, but the slippery issue wasn't really a concern back in the day. It is now. It really is. I still love the style, the convenience and the unparalleled versatility of TopSiders. But if I'm going into a hazardous situation - like taking a walk - I put on a different pair of shoes. I wish I could still love TopSiders, but I don't. I am afraid of them, me, a grown man, afraid of a pair of shoes.

Falling apart in less than a day
I’ve seen people write about their shoes falling apart after a month or so. Well same thing happened to me, except it was after less than 24 hours. Must have sent me some other persons return. Was disappointed as I was looking forward to wearing these on my trip to Bermuda. Sad that they didn’t even last until my trip, having had them delivered to me 3 days before I was to depart. Don’t buy!

Decent, but not the quality and comfort that Sperry used to be
These are a bit narrow, but they'll eventually fit better. But they're not as comfortable as previous Sperry shoes used to be for me. And there are some small but visible defects that you shouldn't see in $90 cloth shoes. Finally, the appearance is not as elegant as they used to be. These look to be the same "average" quality that you'd find in a store like Marshall's, not the nicer appearance that I always associated with Sperry sold in more upscale stores. In summary, they're not quite worth the price I paid, but they're serviceable, so I won't return them. But I probably won't be buying Sperry online again.

Great Shoes, Reasonable Price, Excellent Service
First of all, I should note that the first pair of dock shoes I ordered ended up being a half-size too large. The Seller was VERY accommodating, offering to send me the correct size immediately, i.e., before receiving the return pair. Once I got the second pair, they fit perfectly and appeared to be of the usual Sperry top quality. I've worn the shoes for a couple of days to break them in prior to my cruise trip to the South Pacific, but, honestly, they were pretty comfortable from the moment I first put them on. I am very happy with this purchase, and very grateful for the Seller's attitude throughout.

Defective!!
Since these are the only shoes that my husband has worn since 1977 he was ready for a couple of new pair. The shoes arrived with one very defective shoe, the entire front shoebox had not been stitched together with the sole, it had been missed in the stitching process (see photo).I agree with the other reviewers that Sperry has now become a poor quality shoe.Where do we turn now, you guys?

Sperry always lives up to its reputation
My second set of Topsiders, and the quality is always great. The only reason I bought another was that I lost my first pair over the side while sailing (ironic and my fault, not the fault of the shoe). These are well made, will last years, and I highly recommend.I ordered these through Amazon rather than Sperry or any other site because the price was much better.Regarding sizing, I go off of Sperry’s website recommendations based on their shoe-size-match tool comparing various brands. Also, it’s worth checking out Sperry’s videos on tying options. Topsiders typically fit a little loosely coming out of the box (and then fall off your feet while your sailing), but they tighten up easily and the decorative knots Sperry showcases hold up much better than standard bunny ears.

Stylish and comfortable
Probably the softest, most comfortable boat shoe I've ever had out of the box. The leather is so broken in it feels like your wearing that favorite pair of shoes right at the start and the leather and color has a really nice worn look. On the other hand, how long will that last? I've worn mine several times and so far so good, but a pair of Sebago's on the other hand worn equal amount of times looks hardly broken in at all. While my feet appreciate the softness of the Sperry's, I hope they last just as long as the Sebago's which look to be brand new, hefty leather (a price we pay for the fashionable worn look and feel?). Also, the insole seems cheap to me. Out of the box, it felt a bit uncomfortable and cardbord like with an uncomfortable crease. With some wear, the insole shaped to my foot and became more comfortable, but I found it to be some corner cutting to cut manufacturing cost. Not the end of the world though because it is comfortable and stylish. I just hope the style and comfort lasts. So far so good though as it handled several outings (some of which were heavy use) with little to no wear - and no blisters or moments of discomfort either. The size seems consistent with other Sperry's. I ordered a half size larger than Sebago's and its hard to say which side of the fence this falls on (is Sperry a half size smaller or is the Sebago a half size larger). Can't compare with shoes I wear with socks.

Good quality and stylish look for a fraction of the price of the authentic originals.
I've been wearing Sperry boat shoes for over ten years now and these shoes are no exception in quality and style. The only thing I did not consider when purchasing these shoes is the fact that the insoles are fabric which absorbs moisture and takes longer to dry if they get wet. I recommend to wear no show socks with these shoes. If no socks is your thang, then go for the A/O which comes with leather insoles. If you wear them on a sweaty summer day, just remember to put cedar shoe horns in them and wear them every other day so they don't smell.

Sperry apuesta segura
Tengo ya varios zapatos de Sperry, para mi zapatos de calidad siempre sin dispararse el precio, salvo en algunos modelos.Totalmente recomendable. Llegué a comprarlo a buen precio.

Vintage que siempre están a la moda...
Me quedaron un poquito amplios, pero aún así están muy bien, tuve mis primeros iguales en 1988. Ya hace bastante. En general geniales...

Exactly as expected, feel great and fit great

Great boat shoe.
The sole is made of rubber so that the shoe does not slip on wood or the boat deck.
