Bought before, lasted a couple years, but I an opening and closing them every day (sometimes 5 times a day at each clients location then off to the next) on my work truck boxes, so I am pleased. If you open less, you get years out of them

Does what it's supposed to.
I bought a set of these for our lake property. One on the gate, one on the basement door and we have 2 boat houses. I programmed the same combination into each lock very easily and now we don't have to keep up with a bunch of keys to get into the different buildings on the property (or worse,, forget the keys at home and not be able to get in at all). Now if we have a house key, we are golden. They are substantially made have been easy for our family to use so far. They aren't cheap but make everything feel pretty secure.

Lock is as described
Not to sure how weatherproof the lock is. Moisture freezing inside the lock may cause problems. Had an identical lock years earlier and oiling the assembly caused two of wheels to also index while just turning the last wheel. Debris may have gotten into the assembly over time causing this issue.

Buy this model not the new version
This is the one you use the little key to change the combination. Just what I wanted for light duty security in the workplace. I can unlock this and scramble the numbers and leave it hanging on the hasp when at work. Something you can not do with the new and improved version of this lock (meaning when the lock is open anyone can look and see your combination as the dials will not move until locked

Set all 4 to the same code. All opened and closed multiple times before i put them in my RV. Had to cut 2 off with bolt cutters because they would not open again.

1) You need to push in on the shackle after entering the combination to open the lock, rather than just pulling 2) Once open, the lock is annoying to close, as you need to hold it shut while simultaneously attempting to scramble the numbers 3) The number dials are very stiff, making operation a hassle These might be okay for infrequently-used locks, but otherwise they're terrible.
