Works well, just don’t be cheap use ample .Protected the ball valve from heat while I was soldering well.

This product should have been on the market 30 years ago. It's purpose is heat resistantance and that is exactly what it does, ZERO REGRETS!

Was hoping it was more of a solid clay type but it's kind of messy to work with

Viper Wet Rag (VWR) got me out of a jam. Had to heat water heater anode rod head in order to remove, without damaging tank glass lining and top cover paint. Molded VWR around anode rod, exposing only bolt head. Extended VWR around top of rod installation hole (top cover of water heater). Applied heat (propane) to anode rod bolt head (less than a minute). Gave rod head 2 short "braaps" with impact gun. Anode rod came out slicker than poop through a goose. Upon removal of VWR, surrounding foam insulation and water heater top cover paint were in pristine condition. Amazing product!!

With the crazy economy we find ourselves, my son and I ended up doing our own AC repair. We replaced our A-Coil and outside condenser unit with all the filters, fittings, etc. We also decided to use the solder with flux method as opposed to the silver rod brazing method. We were successful just before the hot muggy weather overtook our part of the country. We used this product to manage the heat transfer and avoid damaging other components in our high pressure line and liquid line. It worked well and was easy to apply and remove.

I didn’t realize how helpful this product would be. I am an HVAC installer, and this is a must for professionals taking care of refrigerant components. I wish they would sponsor me so I wouldn’t have to pay for it hahaha 👀

I’ve used this product since I’ve been in the trade. It offers great protection and you just gotta add a little water to rejuvenate it after you use it a little. I will always use this product in brazing work in HVAC.
