Value yes. Reliability is unfortunately yes. Accuracy probably. This is a "don't kill the messenger" situation. This thing left me feeling ill with its truth spewing self. But yes. It works good. 😭

Great price, easy to use and quick results.
This test kit was great. Great price , easy to use and quick results. I was hoping that the liquid would stay blue but it turned yellow right away. I wasn't really surprised with the results but it was good to see it clearly right away. So now I focus on the job at hand with the clear results!

Decent product, didn't fit coolant tank very well.
I wanted to be sure my head gasket wasn't leaking. The rubber cone didn't fit into RAM TRX 2022 coolant tank very well. I saw no fluid color change with engine running. I tested fluid by exhaling three times and got significant green and yellow color change. I'm certain my head gasket is fine.

Works great! Northstar sucks
Product works as it should! It proved to me that North Star engines do leak exhaust into the cooling system. Even the ones not overheating. Easy to use. Just unscrew your cold caddy engine radiator cap. Put the plug in. Add the blue juice and fire it up. It will only take a few minutes and you will see the fluid start to bubble. IF it changes color she got a blown gasket or crack. If not check the thermostat, water pump and radiator……

A moment of silence please...
Well, I ran the test and it confirmed what I pretty much already knew. My head gasket is leaking. I'm still glad I did the test before taking the car in for repair. I just wanted to confirm it so I'm certain I really do have a leak before shelling out big bucks to a shop. The test was really clear and left no doubt- the color change was obvious and it happened in about 2 minutes of running.

Didn't work for me - other options are better
I tried using this kit to detect a small head gasket leak on a Subaru. Each time I use this test it appeared to be fine and didn't indicate that the head gasket was bad. I still kept having overheating symptoms and other indicators that the head gasket was bad. I wound up buying another tester on Amazon and it did appropriately detect the leak. The one that worked is the one that draws the vapors from the radiator through the fluid. This one is dependent upon the pressure from the radiator to cause bubbling in the fluid. This one doesn't work as well. Would not recommend. But not purchase again and would like to get a refund.

Simple, Easy, Accurate, Valuable.
The media could not be loaded. Very simple and easy to use. Put it on a cold engine, sealing the overflow tank and started the car up, let it run till the pressure in the cooling system started to build and push into the clear cylinder before turning the car off.Unfortunately this test confirmed the worst and an additional confirmation from a certified BMW tech after getting these initial results, validated the engine has a major issue..
