I bought this WD product because my mom bought it from Amazon first. I was at her house and asked her for something to clean the sticky residue left behind after I pulled the phone mount from her windshield after the Florida heat had melted and dripped the "nano" adhesive that was supposed to be heat resistant. Several microfiber towels were just smearing the residue, BUT the WD cleaner was like magic. It not only removed the residue and stickiness, but it cleaned the window without leaving any hint of the adhesive. Coincidentally, I had a similar situation in my wife's car with the added problem of the residue dripping onto the dash. I simply could NOT get all the residue off, even after many applications of mineral spirits, many destroyed microfiber towels, and glass cleaner. Every time I thought I got it all, I could still see the smear on the windshield. I happily bought the WD cleaner, and it removed it after 3 seconds. It's an amazing product at a great price. I would have paid much more and given it 10 stars (if I could) based on my experience.

Works great to clean off oily / grease tools

I used this on white doors and door frame in the bathroom. It cleaned the grime off pretty easy with minimal pressure applied. You have to rinse it off with water and that left the cloth dirty white. The cloth I used was a handkerchief so that might not have helped. It does well enough for spot cleaning and no smell, residue, or other problems.

Really cleans motorcycle chain on the first try without much scrubbing

Works great on tools and my giant toolbox. I recently had a job on a car with 300,000 miles and everything under the hood was caked in a number of cooked down fluids combined with general road debris, tar and grease. By the time I was done myself and all of my tools were filthy and I noticed the pulls on my toolbox drawers had gotten pretty nasty too. I used parts cleaner but the smell was stiff for how much cleaning I had to do. I ordered this product and tried it out and it cleaned my tools very well with no noticeable smell and no irritation to my nose or eyes from working with it for a prolonged amount of time. It took at least a couple years of age off of my rubberized gripped tools like the torque wrench I had used and the 3 different pairs of locking clamps. It also did a great job of wiping off my expensive tool cabinet without damaging the finish. The box looks brand new again and all it took was a wipe down with a rag I sprayed with the product. I’ll be keeping a bottle on the bench from now on. With how much tools cost it’s a good idea to keep them clean and feeling good on the hand.

I had gotten the WD-40 due to the great description and the Google suggestion that this was the stuff for my locked up chain saw chain. But, alas, it will take some other procedure to free up this chain. For now the WD makes a good spray to help you remove grease and oil from your hands and surfaces. But, I can find cheaper products to do that.

does an excellent job getting chain wax off the swingarm. spray it on and wait about 5 minutes and wipe off the residue
