Ugly head but can be polished
The head of these rivets have alot of cross-hatched marks probably from the production process. I was able to smooth out those marks with a file and emery paper and then polish the heads with a buffing wheel and rough compound. I suspect these aren't 100% copper as it took quite a bit of work with a ball peen hammer to mushroom out the post. I would buy these again though for their durability. I used them in place of double cap rivets to secure the carry handle on the Tandy Expedition Briefcase which was 4 layers of really thick leather. They will not come out like the double cap rivets did.

Copper, I have a use for you
They're definitely copper rivets. They hammer down nicely and look great. The long posts make them very versatile, good for riveting together things of various thicknesses. Riveting is fun! Even if I sometimes found myself working at awkward angles (I was re-upholstering a leather-and-iron chair) and accidentally hammered one knuckle often enough that I might be developing a bone spur. But that's not the fault of these rivets! They were great!

Good quality rivets
Exactly the size as advertised, good quality control for the individual pieces, I do wish the alloy was a little bit harder though.

Very secure fastening of two thick materials that requires practice to be attractive
I admit that I only needed a couple rivets and burrs to repair a fabric tool belt pouch whose belt double cap rivet had popped off. This type is more secure even though my they dug into the fabric a little. I wish that I had known a #12 rivet at 3.3 mm was smaller diameter wise from a #9 at 4.0 mm and larger than a #14 at 2.5 mm.

Copper Rivets
They are copper and make rivets. What more can you say? Well... after using several, I found I can say a lot more. These are CHEAP! The burrs are so thin I can't find them in my pocket. They bend very easily if you try to drive them down the shaft of the rivet ( a common operation ). The heads of the rivets are also very thin. While going through some older work and comparing them to older rivets, I realized how truly thin the heads and burrs were. I'm going looking at some other hardware stores.

ribbet
much harder to use, much more work. but the best things in life do not come easy. bam, life lesson from an amazon review. youre welcome. for a crappy lillte crap thing, ill use double caps because they are SOOOOOOOOO much quicker and easier, but when you want to do a good job tht will last forever, you need to use a proper rivet.

Good size with a very long shaft only disappointing aspect was the rivet heads are textured and not smooth.

The order came short 4 rivets and I required all of them for the job as i had already drilled 75 holes and Amazon would not get me the 4 rivets i had ordered to finish the job
