I love the aesthetic of this bottle as well as the capacity. However, the rim is very thin and can be easily dented. Once you do this it will no longer seal. It already doesn't fully seal because the silicone ring in the lid tears easily. You can only tighten the lid so far until you damage the seal and there's no indication where that line is. It's easy to do. Carbonated drinks don't work well in this vessel either because the seal isn't strong enough. If you tighten it down enough to actually seal, you'll likely damage your silicone ring in the process. I was also less than happy that it arrived dented. Not the end of the word but a bummer for a new product. My wife bought the Nalgene equivalent and I think it would have been a much better route to go. The rim is not thin stamped metal, but rather is machined somehow and is much, much more robust. Hers will also seal carbonated drinks just fine. They are about the same price so I'd recommend that route.

I have five Klean Kanteen bottles, 3 of which have been used so many times they are severely dented which DOES NOT affect their performance; however, being the snob that I am (LOL), I had to have a new, shiny, non-dented bottle! I know there are many water bottle companies out there that have gimmicks and all the latest colors, but I have always loved my Klean Kanteens because they are no-nonsense, sturdy, built to last water bottles, and I have researched the company and they do many wonderful things for the environment. I like a company that gives back! It's my go-to bottle. And I love the new color!

Kleen Kanteen change the design of their 40 oz bottle to be slimmer and taller. I like this design. However this particular model seems to have a rather loose fitment with the o-ring, and the o-ring frequently pops off or becomes unseated. As a result I have had substantial leaks with this bottle which I've never had with a Kleen Kanteen in the past.

I've used this one for about 3 months steady.. high quality, easy to clean with a bottle brush, very durable..light weight
