What is the height of this glass

just under 9 inches. I'm glad you wrote, because I have never liked this glass for chardonnay, and recommend Riedel's Hungarian Sommeliers. However, last evening I got it out and tried it with a Loire sauvignon blanc (which I was drinking), and it was excellent, significantly better than the Vinum sauvignon blanc glass.

Is the 8 oz. size a good overall wine glass size?

Only if you don't like wine. A better all around wine glass is the Veritas Pinot Noir glass that hold 27 7/8 oz, for both red and white wines, as well as sparkling wines. Not that one would ever fill the glass to its full capacity. One could put three or four ounces into the glass. Or even as little as one or two ounces.

In the picture these glasses appear to have a green tint. Are these clear glasses?

I don't have this particular item, but all the other Riedel that I have is brilliantly clear. It's fairly unlikely that the glass would be tinted, since it could diminish an important element of the wine--its appearance in the glass. More likely the apparent tint is because wine glasses are often photographed with wine actually in them, so the shopper can better see the shape of the glass. So the tint perceived could be from light refracted through the photo shoot wine. But you could go to the manufacturer's web site to get a better rendered picture and a product description.
