Perfect Fit for Recording King Guitar
I ordered these out of curiosity to add to a cheap Recording King Dirty 30 Series 7 guitar. All I had to do was unscrew the ones on the guitar and these were perfect fits. I only had to drill 1 hole to get these in but it's not the tuners fault but the one that was originally on there was a slight bit off in the first place. I didn't even have to use the bushings that came with these. They fit well, hold tune and even though 1 of the 6 had slight rattle when fitted it wasn't the tuner but the original bushing but it was only a slight bit off and the tuner itself is fine and works fine.Yes they are greenish versus a beige tarnish like Gotohs but work just as well and Gotohs has the true relics that are green tinted.Overall outstanding tuners for the price and I'm going to buy another set for another acoustic I have.

Not bad, but feels a bit cheap.
These tuning machines are good for the money, and if you like the vintage split-shaft design (my favorite if they're not locking tuners), they work well enough. The movement of the gears is not perfectly smooth and a little bit uneven, but they hold tune just fine. Some people in the reviews seem put off by the greenish color of the buttons, but I don't mind the look. For context, I installed mine on my Worn Ebony Epiphone Casino, and they were perfect drop-in replacements. I didn't even have to switch out the stock bushings. If you temper your expectations according to the price of these tuning machines, you won't be disappointed. I would definitely recommend these tuners, which I plan to install next directly inside of my brain so I can tune my thoughts to E minor.

Drop in upgrade for Harley Benton DC Jr.
The color is weird, like glow in the dark fangs. I like it though. They were a drop in fit for my Harley Benton SC Jr and tune far better quality than the stock tuners. Easy to install, screw holes lined up perfectly. A great inexpensive upgrade for an inexpensive guitar!

A perfect fit on my customers' Epiphone Casino
These are an inexpensive and desirable upgrade to the lesser quality tuners on certain models like the Epiphone Casino. No extra holes were required and they slipped in perfectly. A very nice upgrade to his guitar. Took only 30 minutes to do the job. Cheers, all.

The tuners feel great, and work like a charm, but buy with caution. Broken plastic
So I bought these tuners for my Epiphone sg special because they needed to be replaced. In order to fit the ferrules, I needed to largen the original holes, which was not a difficult task to do. After I got them installed, they worked great, and I found no issues. My favorite part about these tuners was that you wouldn't be able to poke your fingers on the string ends. It was only till I had it for several months that I ran into a severe problem. Now, I want to address that this could be just a case by case, or operator error, but the tulip part on one of the tuners managed to break off. I did manage to fix it (The original Epiphone tuner heads fit on pretty well, but it will look very out of place). So far, I would still recommend these tuners to anyone on a budget who either wants to try split shaft tuners or just want to put vintage tuners on their guitar.(Edit):I had to move the stars down because multiple of the tuning head have broken off. The plastic is not very strong so it cracks easily. As much as I like the tuners, the fact that the plastic will break is worthy to lower the stars down more.

A Better Replacement?
A little back story here....I have a 1996 Epiphone Les Paul that I purchased brand new back in the day. It had the vintage style tuners on it and after 25 years one of the keys broke. So last year I spent what seems like a ridiculous amount of money on this brand new set of Klusons. And they were garbage. You had to turn the key 1/4 turn before they even engaged and it made tuning the guitar a real pain in the arse. So I took the L and moved on to these. Here was my thinking...This Les Paul was professionally set up with a bone nut and fret job a many years back. And it's been a gig worthy jamming machine! Stayed in tune all night. It had generic tuning keys so I figured if the generic tuners did that good of a job, these Wilkinsons can't be that bad. I have had Wilkinson tuners on project guitars before and they all did just fine. So I picked these up (along with the Grover style tuners by Wilkonson, ugh, see my review for those) and I've had no issues. They hold tune and are nice and smooth turning....Yeah, the keys are really green, but I don't mind because my original generic keys that came with the LP were really green as well. Also...no modifications were necessary for my guitar. It was a perfect swap.Anyway...I've had good luck with these so far. Better than the expensive ones...maybe I just got a bad batch with the Klusons.
