Bright and Low Cost
The built in ballast went bad for the light in one of my 55 gallon aquarium hoods. A replacement hood was around $50 which seemed ridiculous. I found this LED tube light on Amazon for less than $15. Took 10 minutes to unscrew and remove the old inner light housing from the hood, mount this LED light (using the screws from the old housing and the 2 twist ties that came on the cords of the new light), and run the cord through the opening in the back of the hood where I had removed the old cord. Put the hood back on the tank, plugged it in and turned it on, and it works like a charm! Lights up the tank just as well as the old fluorescent light (right side of tank in picture). The light is just a little bit whiter, but that's fine with me. Works fantastic - great deal! Not sure how it would work underwater, as I don't need to submerge it. Suction cups didn't seem that strong, but if they were submerged and continually wet, I assume they might hold okay. That part didn't matter to me.

MUST BUY!
I don’t understand the all the negative feedback. It made me worried, I purchased one to go in my 75 gallon live planted turtle tank for the side that didn’t have their heat & UVB bulb on it, as soon as I turned it on I knew I had to have one for the other side. I ordered it right away so within 3 days I purchased 2. The brightness is strong but the suction cups allow you to rotate the lights to where you think brightness is best mine as turned all the way down because they were too bright. It gives light to my plants under the sand and my floating plants. Chords are long so they can be used in larger tanks for sure, I have a ton of extra on both mine. The suction cups are REALLY good. I think this is a steal for the price, you won’t be disappointed. I will attack a photo although it’s hard to properly capture LED lighting.

Very bright
If you are wanting a very bright light then this is the one to get. I’ve had no trouble out of it but it doesn’t suit my needs so I will be buying a different one.It has one brightness/color so no way to adjust it so if you want to change the color, this does not have that feature.Since I got this light, the algae in my tank has gone crazy and the algae is also coating my plants. I have never ever had problems with algae at all in this particular tank until I got this light. So I don’t know if it is the extreme brightness of it that is encouraging the algae growth or not but I have changed nothing else in my tank to encourage algae growth.

Great for beginners
It’s very bright and well made specially for it being so well priced. It’s not super fancy as in no other color settings etc but it will do as a beginner light for easy plants, it also doesn’t get overly hot. Been using it for about 5 months now, plants look great. I wish I could dim it juuuuust a tad but it still looks great

Amazing Light and Quality
The suction is better then others but the quality of the lights is amazing! It’s so bright I have to have the lights facing the opposite direction of the part of the aquarium facing us. It definitely makes my hermit crabs more lovely and the heat it produces is so small I don’t have to worry about my hermit crabs getting hurt. The only thing I don’t like is the cord length and the location of the switch. The switch is down low on the the cord near the plug part and makes it a bit of a hassle to turn on and off.

Great Little inexpensive light!
Just purchased two of these for both of my 40 gallon tanks and they work great so far. My tanks had been without lights for over a year because the cost of new lights were so expensive. I ran across this light by accident and for just under $13 each I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but so far I’m extremely impressed. I didn’t submerge them I stuck them right on top of the clear part of my tank hood facing down and I really like it. I really hope they last a while but at this price point if they last a year I’ll be happy.

Know the right amount to get
The lights are bright enough but they are a little hard to get the right positions from the top and bottom for the specific tank that everyone has due to the fact no one can tell the right depths of there own tanks and it’s a little hard to find out how many you’ll need, but other than that they are great. I might have to get another one but I have a 180 gallon tank so it’s really long and I only got 2 and I think I should have gotten 3, but I still gotta give them a10 out of 10 for best little lights you can get and they are a great price also. The best ones in my book

Multiple failures
Having bought several of these I can say that failure over time is nearly inevitable. I've had five of them fail and all for the same reason. The connector that connects the transformer to the power cord from the light failed in every case. Many times the connection was obviously coming loose as the light went through a period where the light was flickering on and off before the connection failed entirely. If there were a way to make the connector tight again then the light could be repaired but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that.

Ok
