Works great! But be careful when using.
I'm glad I trusted the high customer ratings. This stuff worked quickly and thoroughly. You must be careful though, as it's caustic. My bathroom sink drains pretty well, but when clogs build up, the drainage slows without advance notice. I've used Liquid Plumr many times over the years, but it almost always needs two applications. This stuff is pricey, but I decided to give it a try. Glad I did.The clog this time was pretty bad, and the first application worked quite well, but I decided to do another application. My sink now drains faster than it ever has in the ten years I've lived here.Heed the directions, but please consider the extra precaution steps I devised, listed at the bottom of this review. The label says this stuff is caustic to skin and eyes, so DO use gloves as advised. I don't have goggles, so I planned how to use this quickly in case I started smelling fumes. I did notice fumes the first time, and quickly fled the bathroom to get away. For the second application, I refined my method. This stuff activates IMMEDIATELY upon coming in contact with hot water, which is why I encountered fumes the first time — my sink stopper can't be removed, so the stuff started activating BEFORE it left the sink to go down the drain. So here are the steps I devised:1. Get an empty bottle that can handle hot water. (It's for #6 below.)2. Put on rubber gloves.3. Open the container. One application is 1 cup (8 ounces), so the container has 4 applications. Look at the contents to guesstimate how much to pour (or just use a measuring cup, as long as it's completely dry.)4. If your sink stopper can be removed, do so. If it can't be removed, visually plan how you'll pour the product slowly so that it's as close as possible to the drain (because you'll want to get it OUT of the sink and INTO the pipe swiftly.)5. Turn on the Hot faucet. When the water actually gets hot, let it run for a bit to warm the pipes (as per the instructions. (Make sure the product container or measuring cup is not right next to the sink — even one drop of splashed water will activate the product.)6. While the hot water is running, get about 1-2 cups of it into the bottle you got. You're going to use this water for any product that might be a few inches from the drain.7. Turn off the water. DRY the sink thoroughly so that there's NO warm moisture. If your stopper can't be removed, use toilet paper to dry the underside of the stopper. Again, this product activates immediately with hot water.8. Pour the product into the drain or around the stopper. Be careful, but swift — when any of the product enters the drain, it will start activating because there's hot moisture down there. So.....9. Quickly turn on the hot water faucet! The product starts activating and slips into the drain. IMMEDIATELY grab the water bottle and carefully pour that in a circle about 3" from the drain this to get any leftover product down the drain.10. Turn off the faucet and LEAVE the bathroom for a minute or two. This is because a small amount of fumes will appear, and you should avoid breathing them.11. Return, turn on the hot water faucet, and let it run for a minute or so. You should notice that the drainage is now fast and thorough. In the future, I intend to hold my breath while doing steps 8-10, because I did smell a bit of fumes. I'll also probably use a measuring cup in the future, which I'll then wash thoroughly in the kitchen afterward.

This stuff is no joke.
Follow the directions and let the product do what it is designed to do. I warmed up the shower drain first by running some warm water. Followed it up with a cup of this product. And washed it down with very hot water. It sounded like a jet engine going through the pipes. It cleared up the clog, and I also ran a 1/2 cup through my bathroom sink. A few minutes later I poured a few more quarts of very hot water and everything was flowing smoothly.Do not get your face near the product. When the hot water activates it, it almost boils. It will splash on you and by the smell of it when the water hits it. You don’t want to get it in you or in you. Its working power is incredible. And it is super easy to use if you follow the directions. The smell was gone very quickly with the exhaust vent running. It isn’t cheap, but I’ve tried the liquid draining type products and they did not work like this does. The label warns you NOT to put it in your toilet. Our shower is next to the toilet and it worked from there to free the clog.100% recommend this and have already prepared to buy the bigger size. It said it’s a good thing to use as preventing clogs before they happen.

Will keep buying
Will keep buying but really wish was lower priced because have to use at least a cup or more per drain. I use this about once or twice a year on all my drains especially my bathtub to clean pipes of soap and hair products residue build-up. I turn on hot water on faucet for about 5 minutes while I boil water on stove. I get my boiled water by pipe I'm gonna treat then then turn off faucet. Pour about 2 cups of this stuff down pipes then pour the boiling water in. It fizzles and sometimes pops up a little (nothing extreme but I ALWAYS wear safely glasses and thick gloves). I try to keep my face as far as possible while pouring boiling water.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS STUFF
I’ve had a slow drain in my bathroom sink for years. I’ve tried everything to get it to clear out and nothing worked, not even Zepp pipe cleaner. My tub drains fine, my toilet flushes fine, it was just the sink. Plumbers are expensive just to come and tell you what needs to be done. Ugh. So I saw this stuff Thrift that people gave GREAT reviews and it only cost $25, so I thought...might as well give it a try. I don’t think my drain has been this clear since I moved here.It was awesome to watch this stuff work. It was like Old Faithful in the sink. All this yucky stuff came up out of the drain. 🤮. They say you only need a half cup to a cup, but my drain was so bad that I think as it cleared stuff, it was creating a clog. So, I wound up using the whole bottle. However, $25 verses hundreds of dollars...I’m cool with that. I’m gonna buy more and do all my drains for prevention and keep it around for maintenance.
