HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) Plastic Sheet 1/4" x 8" x 12” Black Color

new honda accord front license plate holders are shorter than than the 6 inch high colorado license plates and provide a location for only the top two license plate screws. i used this 1/4" HDPE plastic sheet to cut out a license backing plate the same size as the license plate, screwed the larger backing plate to the original factory front plate holder, and then attached the license plate to the larger backing plate with all four license plate screws ...i made my own backing plate because all the pre-made ones on amazon had many reviews that indicated that they are flimsy, poorly made and use screw hole inserts that easily pull out ...very high quality of HDPE plastic, including a protective membrane on one side ...

I used this to make a speaker mount inside of my DIY portable Bluetooth speaker. There was also enough left to fabricate a bracket and mount for a carousel horse, and I trust it because it's very strong and thick. This was absolutely everything I was looking for; it drilled out easily, hole saw was no issue, and the miter saw also made clean cuts with ease without requiring a special blade. If the plastic has scratches, that doesn't affect its performance. If you're worried about cosmetics, skin it. If I need this again, I know who to get it from.

Nice piece that is thick enough to hold a screws well and work for what I needed. I created a new switch panel on my boat dash. There were lots of superficial scuffs and scratches upon delivery but it looks good enough for an old boat.

The plastic I got was the correct thickness and dimensions but it’s not polyethylene. I think it’s polycarbonate which is fine for my application.

Works

Needed to create a strong base for a large boat depth/fish finder and this worked very well. Drew out the diagram form and easily jig-sawed the piece required. The sides sanded nicely and the finish on the plastic was flawless upon receipt. Just what I needed for this job. I would buy again.

I bought this for a very specific purpose. I had removed a recirculation pump from my tub and needed to plug the holes. I used a circle cutter on my drill press and cut disks out of this sheet to size then used marine glue to plug the holes. Worked perfectly (after a few tries to get the diameter just right).The material cut cleanly, was a uniform color throughout, had no damage or imperfections, so was exactly as expected. I am not a plastics expert, so I can't say much more than that.
