4" Sanding Mop, 180 Grit

This sanding mop was recommended by another gourd artist friend of mine. It is perfect for sanding the inside of a round object. Being a hard-shell gourd artist, I find this is perfect for cleaning the inside of a gourd to be carved. I wasn't able to use it immediately, until I found an extension rod, for my drill, so it would reach down into the gourd.

Got this to help in our broom making business. It's a bit pricey and it worked, just not as well as we had hoped. I think we need a larger grit for what we need. love the concept though. We are dealing with hundreds of broom handles. Need to look into something a bit more commercial grade.

This works great for finish sanding of contoured pieces. I have been a woodworker for 30+ years and wish I had known about these a long time ago. My only complaint would be that they are a bit pricey, but for what they do, it is worth it to me. This saves a lot of time and tedious hand sanding of intricate shapes. Hopefully it will last a long time to make the additional cost worth it.
