Alfred's Basic Piano Course: Fun Book , Level 1B(Alfred's Basic Piano Library) Paperback – August 1, 1986

As a piano teacher for the past 15 years, I have really enjoyed the Alfred series. This Fun Book is a great addition to the collection, and my students really like it. The pieces really are more fun, for some reason, for the kids, and they complement the Lesson Book nicely. I usually have my students just a little behind in the Fun Book, and even more so in the Solo Book from Alfred. For example, a student half way through the Level 1B Lesson Book is perfectly prepared to start the Fun Book. I wait a little longer, even, to start them on the Solo Books.

My son has been taking piano lessons. This book was required by his instructor and my son enjoys playing music with it.

Great book series. Kids enjoy playing from these books. The use of concepts and practice music is very complementary. There's some great fun to be had at the piano with these books.

This "Fun Book" is one of my favorite books for young students. Cleverly-written and fun original tunes that my students always enjoy learning to play.
