High quality,low price
Very sharp out of the box, held its edge for general kitchen use so far, quiet heavy, but balanced, comfortable handles, very clean effortless cuts on tomatoes, easily dices onions, cubing beef for caseroles, casseroles, chopping carrots, that's been the basic use thus far, I have not cleaned it in a dishwasher only hand washed so far so can't say how that would if at all effect the knife, would reccomend, certainly for the average home cook anyway.

Worth the money
This is a great knife well worth the cost. Sharp, well balanced, good weight/feel in the hand. I like it better than my Henkel knife.

Cuts Effortlessly and Feels Like a Premium Knife
I’ve been using the SHAN ZU 8-inch Chef Knife for a few weeks now, and it has quickly become the knife I reach for the most in my kitchen. The first thing I noticed was how balanced it feels in the hand. It’s not too heavy, not too light, and it has that solid, confident feel you want from a good chef knife. The blade itself is extremely sharp right out of the box. It cuts through vegetables, chicken, herbs, and even tougher ingredients with almost no effort. The Damascus pattern looks beautiful in person, and the finish makes it feel like a higher-end knife than what I paid for. What stood out to me is how cleanly it slices without crushing food. Things like tomatoes and onions come out with smooth, clean cuts, which makes prep faster and much more enjoyable. I’ve used it for everything from chopping vegetables to breaking down larger cuts of meat, and it hasn’t dulled noticeably yet. The handle is comfortable even during longer prep sessions, and I never feel like it’s slipping or awkward to hold. It also cleans up easily, and I’ve had no issues with staining or rusting. Overall, this knife performs way above its price point. It feels premium, looks great, and handles pretty much every task I throw at it. If you’re looking for a reliable, sharp, and well-balanced chef knife without spending a fortune, this one is absolutely worth picking up.

Impressive knife for the price. You won't be disappointed.
Good quality knife. Real damascus blade, holds an edge very well. Asthetically beautiful. The only negative is that the blade is welded to the tang, it is not one solid piece of damascus. That being said i don't plan to use the knife as a pry bar so the tang won't be an issue for me.

Absolutely incredible
Easily the best possibly life you could but for the price I was beyond surprised to see how sharp and how incredibly made this knife was. I sliced through paper like nothing and could cut anything you ever would need to for cooking with ease. For $50 which is an affordable knife especially of this quality each blade is perfect and the Damascus looks incredible as light shines on it. If anyone put anything below 5 stars on this then they expect too much and don’t understand how amazing this knife is for how cheap it is. I highly recommend this knife over any other unless you are willing to spend $100 of dollars for the best of the best.

Nice for slicing
Nice and sharp. I have small to medium size hands and wanted to use this as a pareing knife, but the way the way the blade meets the handle is a little uncomfortable to use for an extended time. Works great for slicing though. Had for over a year and still very sharp

Sharp, balanced, and reliable
I’m genuinely impressed with this knife. The blade comes razor-sharp, and feels perfectly balanced in hand. The damascus steel looks great and performs even better. Great quality for the price

Well worth the purchase.
I researched knives quite a bit and these were highly rated by several sources. Arrived super sharp and so far really pleased with them. I bought the 8” as well as the paring knife. Finally a good knife that will last a while. I also bought a good (highly recommended) sharpening stone so I can keep them super sharp.

Great knife! I've been a cook for over thirty years and always had a knife service so never felt the need to buy my own, until recent change in work I wanted to get my own as nobody seems to take care of a knife edge where I'm working now. Well the price was very reasonable, the weight feels nice , the handle is very comfortable (my hands are average size), looks and feels great. Cuts very well I have used it in a professional setting for two weeks and still is holding its edge. Will purchase from this seller again. If you are on the fence about buying this knife I suggest looking at some from a restaurant supply company, they are ridiculously expensive and likely the same quality, would highly recommend this company.

Cuts Like butter. I've been cooking Indian curry all my life. But since last week, I've been cutting my onions and tomatoes with this knife. For the first time in my life, it was a truly enjoyable experience. I mean, my roommate almost had an o*g**sm cutting tomatoes lol. That's how smooth it cuts. I really cannot contain my excitement for this knife, and its a really great purchase if you're a hobby chef (can't speak for the professionals, might have to ask them yourself) Did I mention how buttery my curry turned out to be? The knife allowed me to cut the onions so thin, that it broke down to a buttery smooth consistently (caramelized) in a half the time. Not only so, it tasted like it was made at an actual fine diner. If you're looking to up your game in the kitchen, do get this! Also, check out some tutorials on YouTube on how to wield the knife, care for it etc. etc. Gonna change your cooking experience forever! I promise.

Nóż jest fantastyczny i bardzo ostry. Nawet przypadkowe dotknięcie kończy się skaleczeniem. Dlatego razem z nożem zalecam zaopatrzyć się w zapas plastrów z gazą.
