Great value Gen-3 drive that does what it's supposed to
If you're interested in cheap external storage, this drive, and others like it, plus a USB-A/C/Thunderbolt caddy is a pretty good way of doing it. For reasonably static storage, it's ideal and very cheap; and you're unlikely to trouble it physically, even at Thunderbolt speeds.

Much improved experience
I added this to an old HP laptop as a boot drive and a 1tb SSD for storage. It was like getting a new computer compared to the original HDD. It's now a usable computer, I also did a install of windows 11 with no problem despite the age of the computer (3years old)

great for a cheap upgrade to a 2015 macbook air
the 2015 Macbook Air used to do transfer speeds of around 650mb/s but now with this hard drive (and an adapter) transfers are around 1300mb/s and cached speeds of over 5.6Gb/s !only one issue is that the restoration on a 2015 Macbook Air does not see this hard drive, you have to install Mac OS Monterey or above to see the NVME hard drive.or just install a decent Linux OS (Tuxedo OS) instead.Even Mac OS Monterey runs faster on this hard drive than the old standard SSD

Dead in under a year.
The device failed completely at 10 months old. It was rarely used, and when it died, I had just decided to use it for games. I hadn't even managed to install one to it. I got an error saying I didn't have permission to write to the drive and figured it was Windows being Windows, so I rebooted. Once I got back into Windows, the drive was gone. I removed the drive and tested it with an external enclosure, but even that didn't see the disk. I cannot recommend this device to anyone unless you just need something to keep you going until you get a better one.

Works with the Pimoroni NVMe base, great with a Raspberry Pi 5 - what a speed difference! Even enabled PCIe 3 mode without issues.

Prodotto perfetto, utilizzato su un Lenovo Thinkpad E485 a cui ho sostituito la scheda madre per ridargli nuova vita, installato ubuntu e gira tutto alla perfezione, questo insieme al secondo hdd e hai un portatile che ancora oggi è velocissimo, reattivo e molto valido.Credo che terrò a mente questo brand per futuri acquisti di memoria.
