Surprisingly well balanced
So I use a small, rated for 500mL (water) magnetic mixer for mixing PG/VG. The pill that came with the mixer is poorly balanced and even in water, will not support going over 50% speed. The pointy ellipse, starbust, and 2 pill shapes with raised center bars, in that same mixer, were able to pull down a vortex (which will knock them off balance) in a 3500mL rice pot (wider than it is tall) and in a 3000mL beaker. Even in a 1 quart ziploc container (uneven on the bottom because of the imprinted branding) they were still incredibly stable. The magnets in them are much stronger than I expected for such a good deal.In heavier fluids like VG (warmed up to help viscosity) I was actually able to fully blend 1200mL in a 1500mL beaker in one go. Previously I had to do multiple 5+min sessions with hot water baths in-between.The two round bars (smooth pills), cross shape, and kite shape were not as stable / balanced as the other shapes. The cross would be best for moving volume (the starburst is a bit too much surface area for fluids this thick and if the magnet was any stronger it would simply unbalance the mixer's magnet) so that was unfortunate. But for the price, this was surprisingly good quality. When I get a heavier-duty mixer with a harder to unbalance magnet, I'm sure these will probably all perform even better. The poor tolerances of my 5 year old $10 chinesium mixer is a hard test to beat.

Avoid
These stirrers don't react properly to the magnetic stirring mechanism in my hot plate at all. They act like they're unbalanced which I'm guessing is from misplacement of the magnets inside these stir bars. It's definitely not my hot plate because my other stir bars function just fine.

Good value
These work just as well as similar products from scientific equipment vendors at a fraction of the cost. Would buy again.
