great for the price but lacks knock-outs
I'm overall very happy with this purchase. I paid $67 for a 12x12x6 box. The opening is about 10.2" x 10.2" and the mounting plate is about 10.4"x9.8". The box is very solid (and heavier than I expected) and the workers who installed an ONT inside of it thought it was a great box as well. (ONT is Optical Network Terminal - like a modem for fiber optics.) There are a couple issues which I will detail, but given the good value (I paid $67) they don't warrant removing a star. Although some of the below might be dealbreakers for somebody.1. It lacks knockouts/punchouts, which is a strange oversight. There is a quite large metal plate on the bottom, which can either be installed or absent. If they had included an optional plastic plate to use instead of the metal, that would have been easier to drill through. Maybe I need to get into 3D printing and make one myself. The metal plate is so large I would prefer to have it in place rather than absent. If they would provide some knockouts of various sizes on the bottom, then I would have used those, like I do for circuit breaker panels and other electrical enclosures.2. The product listings are hard to navigate. There are a number of different options, within different listings with different options. For many of the listings and options it is pretty difficult to figure out the size of the opening -- and that is important. I was looking for a box that would fit a particular item to be installed inside it, so I really care about the opening dimensions more than the overall box dimensions. For the listings that do include a dimensions diagram, the units are all in mm so I have to convert mm to inches which is a nuisance. The mounting plate is a nice feature, and it would be nice to have its dimensions listed more prominently as well as the opening dimensions.3. The metal is honestly thicker than I need. I could have been happy with a less heavy box that is not quite as strong. Outdoor circuit breaker panels are made from metal that is not this thick and hard, and it is sufficient for that scenario. Something not as thick would be much easier to drill holes through.4. The locking mechanism was too tight, and it doesn't have a keyed lock. I had to remove the bar from the mechanism, and take two pairs of pliers and bend it a bit so it would be more comfortable. Also it doesn't have an actual secure key, just this plastic thing that can be opened with a fingernail or screwdriver. The photos don't show it, which feels a bit deceptive. I assume it wouldn't be difficult to adapt with a key and lock, but I don't need that kind of security myself. Of course with the huge metal plate on the bottom being installed via screws from outside, it's not really gonna be secure from that angle.5. The grounding posts are pretty awkward; this part of the box was cheaply done. I'm not sure why the hinges on the door wouldn't provide a sufficient ground connection (or who would mount high voltage electrical parts on the door) but it seems like a fine feature overall. Would be stronger if you just buy your own locking nuts to install on the welded-in bolts.6. The rain cover fits a bit awkward, but it seems like a fine design overall. Just weird. If this box were double the price, I would keep looking; or if I could find another option that doesn't have some of these issues I would go for that; but I couldn't find something better, and this box met my needs for a good price.

Excellent Cabinet
This cabinet is solid. Extremely well designed and sturdy. I installed an Auto EV Charger charger inside the cabinet and mounted the cabinet to an outdoor railing up at Big Bear Lake, CA. It will get blasted with rain, freezing rain, ice, and snow, and then hot weather in the summer. I have no doubt that it will hold up year after year.

Great for outdoor networking
I purchased this to install a network switch outdoors on a utility pole for some parking lot cameras. There is a CAT6 feed from the main building that runs to this pole and then branches out to the other poles to feet additional cameras. The enclosure is very sturdy and made of pretty thick metal to withstand the elements long term. The bottom plate is removable which made knocking out holes and drilling easy to do on a workbench. I pre-punched holes for power and data lines and installed the necessary waterproof fittings, rhen re-affixed the plate to the bottom of the enclosure upon installation. It included all of the necessary hardware to securely fasten this to the pole, although it’s most likely designed to be used on a flat surface, it worked just fine for this application. It uses a somewhat universal quarter turn lock mechanism that I’ve seen used on other brand enclosures of this type. Not worried about security 16 feet up on a pole but the key and lock work exactly as designed. It did include a rain cover for the top of the enclosure but I did not install this as I’m not really sure what it’s protecting as the enclosure is completely sealed on top and all it would have done was created a cavity for bugs and insects to build webs and nests. The metal backplate is sturdy as well. I mounted a TP-Link 5 port PoE switch to the back and secured the power adapter to the side of the enclosure and everything fits perfectly and very secure.Would definitely buy again for any future outdoor networking needs.

Surprising good!
I used this for a solar combiner box for two DC 500v strings using the included DIN rail for two breakers and two lightning arrestors. The box is sturdy, painted well, has a removable standoff plate, removable access plate on the bottom, good and plentiful grounding points, a nice lock and a rain/snow shelf. The only thing I had to add was a ground bus block for my lightning arrestor grounds. This is real value for the money. I might buy another to replace a plastic box I used elsewhere. One thing to note, any conduit entrances will need to be drilled. there are no knockouts. I plan on drilling the large access plate on the bottom for everything.

Perfect size and decent quality.
Perfect size and it worked great for what I needed and the quality is good. The price was reasonable for the size. The box isn’t perfectly square so make sure you square it when hanging it otherwise the door doesn’t fit right.
