Beautiful color, creamy formula, easy to spread
Edit; oops. This review below should have been for the Chalky Chicks paint color 'Hail', NOT the 'Buttermilk'. I ordered both but haven't used the Buttermilk yet. I did paint a test strip with both colors and the Buttermilk does have somewhat of a yellow undertone compared to the Hail. They are both very nice! The consistency of each paint is similar in that they are both smooth and creamy. I like that I can purchase it in a 16-ounce or a 32-ounce size. My review below compares the Chalky Chicks paint to Annie Sloan paint and with the AS paint, you can only get it in a 32-ounce size or a super tiny (4 ounce) size which isn't enough to paint anything. I also love that I can get the Chalky Chicks paint off of Amazon (can't do that with AS paint). Comparing prices between Chalky Chicks and Annie Sloan; the 16-ounce size of Chalky Chicks paint is equivalent to the 32-ounce size of AS (price per ounce). The 32-ounce size of Chalky Chicks paint is less expensive than the 32-ounce size of AS (price per ounce). So, Chalky Chicks paint is a win-win all around. Great paint, beautiful results, lots of colors to choose from, normal size options, nice price and last but not least, I can purchase it off of Amazon!!!!My original review:I'm a very long-time user of Annie Sloan's chalk paint line. Since the pandemic, however, I try to order EVERYTHING off of Amazon. I have to make a 45-minute trip (one way) to get the AS paint from one of her suppliers. Nope, not anymore since I found the Chalky Chicks paint line sold on Amazon. Wow, what a relief. I took a gamble and ordered it. I mean, I really love AS chalk paint, and I feared nothing would even come close. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised at its performance. The paint was perfectly smooth and creamy and was a really pretty shade of white. Not too bright, and no yellow undertones. I was painting over a black surface and ended up adding several coats, probably because I diluted the paint some in order to make for a smoother application. I did some distressing and it turned out beautiful. The only thing I noticed compared to AS chalk paint was that it was a little harder to distress. I typically use a 220-grit sandpaper for distressing (with AS paint) but had to go to a 150-grit paper. No big deal, just different. I also bought the Chalky Chicks mustard seed Tuscany yellow to paint two antique stained chairs.

Great product!
I turned to Amazon when I couldn't find the deep rich brown chalk paint I was looking for at any big box store. I was skeptical about buying paint online, but I am so pleased with this product. It went on smooth and dries even and quickly. The color is spot on. I probably could have gotten away with one coat. I received it well-packaged, in a couple of days. I used about 1/3 of the container doing four tabletops. Do not hesitate to give it a try. The color was exactly what I expected from the photos. They have a great selection of additional colors as well. I am by no means a professional, but for what it's worth, I like the quality, coverage, and consistently of this product better than any brand I've tried including Chalked, Anne Sloan, Krylon, and Behr (which are all good products).

Beautiful color!
This was my first time using chalk paint - I wanted a nice teal color for a chest I had that didn't really match my bedroom color scheme. Since the chest seemed to be made of mdf covered with who knows what, chalk paint seemed to be a good choice. I chose the color "Twilight" as it seemed a good match for my teal bedding. The only prep I did was tape off the edges of the drawers and wash down the chest with plain water. From start to finish, including washing, drying, emptying the drawers, dragging outside, painting two coats, adding two coats of wax, buffing, and moving it back into place it only took four hours! I am really pleased with how easy this paint is to use and with the outcome.
