Fly Fishing Landing Net Soft Rubber Mesh Catch and Release Net for Trout Kayak Boating (Long Fishging Net)

I bought this to scoop up abandoned baby ducks on the lake I live on. For that purpose it works well. The net is sturdy and compact for putting away when it's not baby duckling season.I struggled on the size of the net when purchasing. It's about the size of a large whole chicken from the store. It might hold that much, but not fully extended. If I were fishing with it, I'd worry that the flat part at the bottom and the wide mouth would allow a fish to flop itself out.I tried to use it recently to trap a Canada Goose who has fishing line wrapped around her leg. It was a poor choice. It covered her head and she quickly threw it off and escaped.Note to fisherpeople: Please dispose of your line properly. Water fowl swim through it and it can cause a lingering painful death. Fishing hooks can get into eyes, wings, feet and bodies causing infection and again death. Respect nature.

It folds up and assembles easy.It works fine for light lifting but anything heavy could be a problem. I netted a fish and stepped on pole that was the end of story.

Total piece of junk. The extending handle broke after two uses. Bought this to catch small fish in my pond for relocation. Unless the fish swim directly into the net on their own (which of course never happens) do not plan on performing a sweep action in the water. The extending handle is too flimsy to overcome drag of the water. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

I have to say that I am VERY impressed with this net so far. I... just could not ask for anything better in a net. Meets and exceeds my expectations. For real! The handle (when closed) is almost as sturdy as a WEAPON. Do NOT fish in my space!

Bought this bait net for those rare occasions that the anchovies are on the surface or for scooping anything out of the water that is too small for the mesh of my salmon net. Upon arrival pleased with apparent quality of design and materials. Time will tell regarding quality of the stainless and ongoing anility of the handle to telescope but initial evaluation is very positive.

Be careful with this net. It is not sturdy and will not support a fish over 2 pounds.

not even two hours of light use and this poorly made net broke right in the center. the heaviest thing it picked up was some aquatic plants. Thus, I call it absolute rubbish.
