CEC Industries C2A (Amber) Bulbs, 105 to 125 V, 0.25 W, Wire Terminal Base, T-2 shape (Box of 10)

I was happy with them. I used one to replace a bulb in an appliance that I broke. The one I replaced had a 120k resistor in place. When I used the 120k resistor, the bulb seemed a little too dim. So, I used a 51k resistor instead (because that's what I had). Perhaps it won't last very long with the 51k resistor, but this appliance isn't used much. Not sure how they can call them "105 to 125 V" if you need to used a resistor. I assume they'll blow out if you don't use an appropriate resistor, but I didn't try it. They are amber or a dull orange.

I used 47K ohm resistors with these (on 120Vac) and they produce a bright orangey color. Looks like that resistor value may be a bit too low, but the bulbs haven't burned out. They are definitely bright enough to be seen in broad daylight, and probably too bright for a status indicator light under normal indoor ambient light - so a larger resistor value may be appropriate for such uses (to tone-down the bulb's brightness). I didn't find any specifications, so I guess it's a matter of "adjust the value to suit your taste".It's worth noting that these are about the size of typical neon indicator bulbs, and aren't as easy to fit into a small space as the compact neon bulbs.

Even better than the original neon bulb that came with the heater! The original neon bulb was hard-wired into the heater's circuit, so it does take some knowledge of how to solder and the reason for the resistor in the heater's wiring to the bulb; but if you are comfortable with that, then this little bulb is terrific! I watched a YouTube video first to see how to get into the innards; and then simply re-used the same tiny carbon resistor that was already in the heater leading to the bulb. I consider such a pilot lamp an important safety feature to indicate at a glance if the heater is "on"; and this one sure does the job. I highly recommend it.

I have a vintage Discwasher record care set which included a Zerostat. One piece missing in the kit was the neon tester for the antistatic gun for which this worked as a perfect substitute. Price was right too so really could not go wrong.

Worked perfectly to replace a blown power strip indicator.

I bought my granddaughter a plasma ball for Christmas. One of the cool things you can do is hold these tiny bulbs near a plasma ball and they well live it up while still being 3 inches away from the plasma ball. She was amazed.

I used these for a 1980's flip clock radio. I also ordered the "often bought together" resistor but that didn't work out. I had to reuse the original resistor. That was no fault of the bulb though. Once soldered in and put back into the bulb bracket the nice original amber glow was restored.
