Stolen By A Sinner (The Sinners Series)

💣💥🖤 When being stolen is a gift of life. Beautifully written!! 🖤💥💣
Without exception, Author Michelle Heard’s heroes are deadly and exacting. They’ll deliver death to those who deserve it, and show an inordinate amount of fair treatment to those who do them well. Fierce and fair is what her men are, and now in STOLEN BY A SINNER, Gabriel Demir is among them.We met him in Sinners Book 2, OWNED BY A SINNER where Liam Byrne related better to the stoic Head of the Turkish Mafia more than the other leaders in the priest hood. Gabriel was on a path of vengeance and he’d worked hard on his way to power so that he could avenge the deaths of his parents. His romantic character though; honestly my heart stupidly fluttered as he developed previously unknown feelings of protection and compassion for the woman who puzzled him no end.Since the death of her mother when she was 12, Lara hadn’t known that kindness or mercy existed, and her learning curve was heart-breaking yet inspirational. Ms Heard wove one hell of a plot around her character, and it wasn’t one that I saw coming. As many books of hers I’ve read, they’re still exciting and unpredictable, and I swear to you that I love each one better than the last, something that her books stats are also proving. She’s no fly-by-nighter, and sits firmly in the best-seller areas of Amazon. She is an author you need to be reading if you like darker and edgier books with a devastating soul to them. She’ll break your heart, and then bring it together again.Lara also had to be one of the most positive female personalities I’ve come across in a long time, seriously, and the only one who believed that getting shot was an absolute gift that brought her to a new life!!! It had been one of a pain-filled torturous existence in a household where life was regularly snuffed out at the whim of a deranged tyrant. When shown care and love, she blossomed and for me she was the best part of the book along with a great cast of secondary characters. Women who would straighten another woman’s crown before she knew it was crooked. From invisible victim to protecting the older women in Gabriel’s life, I absolutely admired her and what a Cinderella story it all was.I was also rewarded with cameo’s from the heroes I’ve totally loved. With the mention of names, I recalled each book and the story surrounding the couple, compounding the euphoric feeling of joy I already had going on with the entire plot Ms Heard brought together in STOLEN. The dark banter between our skilled killers has to be read to be appreciated, and I loved meeting these honourable charismatic men again. As a part of the Underworld Priesthood, Gabriel had previously done favours for these men, and now it’s time for him to call them for information and manpower. The testosterone fair emanated from the virtual pages of my kindle and I loved every minute of it. They’re so alpha, they’ll do anything for the women in their lives, and they’re man enough to own it.On a final note, Ms Heard wrote such a beautiful moment where a gift of redemption and peace meant so much to one character that I couldn’t help but cry. What an amazing author talent, and what an amazing book. It deserves allllll the freaking stars!!!!!!🖤💥💣

Damn
🔥 steamy sense, but the book was short (read it in 2.5 hours) The writing was that of. B+ movie. Better than a b, but not super amazing. Story was okay, lost of triggering elements and "sir, daddy dominance and submission.

An Emotional, Slowburn Love Story
This was a beautiful slow burn romance featuring a deeply damaged young woman finding her Prince Charming in the dubious shape of a Turkish mafia boss. Lara was such a poignant character, alone since the age of twelve and little more than a slave in the household of a Polish Mafioso where she’d undergone horrific physical and psychological abuse on a daily basis. When Gabriel Demir attacks the house in an attempt to kill her boss, shooting Lara in the process, he takes her hostage in an attempt to discover her boss’s whereabouts. I actively hated Gabriel when he interrogated and threatened Lara but it wasn’t long before he realised just how broken and downtrodden she was. He ultimately gives her a job in his home and for the first time since the loss of her mother she is actually shown some kindness. To begin with she was terrified of further abuse as that’s what she was conditioned to expect but gradually she grows in confidence and flourishes under the gentleness shown to her from other members of the household and it was beautiful seeing Lara’s transformation like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis. I loved how patient Gabriel was with Lara. Despite being a dominant alpha hero he didn’t make any moves towards her that may have frightened her. He was aware of the large age gap between them and showed her respect making it clear that if anything happened it would be her choice but the chemistry between them was obvious from the start even if neither recognised it for what it was. There is some drama with the threat of Lara’s old boss hanging over her head which brings with it the appearance of some of the other members of the Priesthood and after reading this book I’m so looking forward to Victor’s story.

Mafia Romance Cinderella Story
This is more like a 3.75 ⭐️ but Amazon only lets you do whole star ratings. I enjoyed this book, it’s a Dark Mafia romance with quite a few triggers but overall the main characters and their story are very sweet.Lara has grown up owned by the leader of the Polish Mafia. Treated appallingly and sheltered from the world one day Gabriel attacks and steals her thinking she may know more about her former boss. He soon realises she is a complete innocent and his need to protect her takes over. I enjoyed reading this book and watching their love and devotion grow in this slow burn romance.SpoilersThere were some things I wasn’t keen on, once she does fall for him, she goes from complete innocent losing her v card to him to dirty talking vixen in 24hrs… she literally had never been kissed before. It seemed a bit rushed. I’d have sacrificed the slow burn for a longer development of their intimate relationship.Having said that it’s still a sweet Cinderella style Mafia romance and I loved the characters and their HEA.

An emotional, exhilarating 5 star read
Words can’t express how much I enjoyed this fantastic, slow burn, mafia romance. The characters are so well developed, and the challenges they face, truly daunting. This is the Cinderella story of Lara, a young woman who has only known cruelty and fear for most of her life, so when she’s given the chance at a brighter future, no one could blame her for being somewhat sceptical. Gabriel is an antihero, filled with revenge and suspicious of the motives of those he doesn’t know and trust. These two aren’t, at first glance anyway, a match made in heaven, but everyone deserves a chance at happiness, and these two deserve it more than most.I really loved that the female lead wasn’t the most attractive woman but had her own inner beauty and strength. The majority of us aren’t catwalk material, and we deserve happy ever after as well.An emotional, exhilarating 5 star read … I received an early copy of this book from the author

Another great book in the series!
4/5This book is giving Cinderella mixed with mafia vibes and I ate the whole thing up!Lara & Gabriel were two empty/broken people who made each other whole again. They were complete opposites (with Gabriel being intimating & demanding whereas Lara was gentle & kind) but they just fit together so well.Lara was such a sweet person and her situation made me so sad. I was so happy for her when she started to form relationships and interact with others. She was deprived of love and affection for so long and she just honestly deserved the world. I also loved how Gabriel became her safe place. One of my favourite things was getting to see more of the Priesthood together, I love watching them interact so much!
