The magnets strength and finish are good. If your counting on accurate dimensions however then know that the advertised dimensions are not what you are getting. Since neodymium magnets are generally priced by volume I docked two stars for false advertising of the size which is effectively skimming profits on their part.Diameter: Advertised 1.26", Actual 1.16"Thickness Advertised 0.20", Actual 0.18"These delta's seem small but end up being a reduction in total volume of about 20% The seller could had advertised these as the size they actually are for the same price and I still would have bought them and I would have been 5 star satisfied with the purchase.

Great alternative to using hooks to mount items
These magnets are awesome!!! The hole for the screw is really nifty for when you want to secure the magnet in place. Planning on putting some of these in the garage and hanging up some tools. Also using them as a fridge magnet and as a key magnet on the side of my desk in my room. Easy way to get my keys when i go to work and set my keys when i get home.Pro- These magnets are pretty strong. (if you make the mistake of getting them stuck together, don't even try to pull them apart, you need to slide them apart)- Has a hole with screws provided. (You can pretty much place these anywhere and not worry about them shifting around)- Comes pre-separated with a plastic disk. (so you don't have to struggle to get them apart)- Great for DIY projectsCon- None that I can think of.

Good magnets, but shattered after 6 months of use
The magnets did a fantastic job for what I needed. They are strong, and smooth enough to put against most surfaces without worrying about scratches. I primarily used them to stabilize a metal sign through a glass door, and they did a fantastic job. Never used the screws, so I can't speak to that part.BUT after 6 months of use, they started breaking - and by breaking I mean abruptly shattering, sending sharp pieces in every direction upon moving them. Sliced my hand open the first time it happened- after that I was more careful with them, but they continued to shatter one by one. Half of them have now broken in such a fashion. Because of this, I would not buy them again despite how well they work.

These are "ONE SIDED" meaning the screw can only go in on one side, not a "set"
For the strongest and ideal set-up you use two magnets, both screwed into each side of whatever you are trying to secure. This is IMPOSSIBLE with this particular set of magnets... they are all "+" on the countersunk side for the screw, meaning you cannot use two attracting magnets screwed into opposite surfaces - meaning basically, you can only use ONE magnet to a metal surface. This is different from the last set, that came in "pairs" or "sets" with opposing countersunk sides so you can "mate" them together on opposite surfaces.

Incorrect size
Beware, the description is wrong, if not outright fraudulent. The description advises them as being 1.26" in diameter, but they are actually 1.18". Might not sound like much, but this can make a huge difference if you need that exact size. This also makes them slightly weaker than you'd expect, because their overall volume is smaller.

Strong, easy to work with
These are impressive magnets! I am using one to keep track of screws during projects and thinking of other applications. I tried using them attached to a wall to hang a project board, but they weren't large enough. A slightly larger magnet with a better shape for the intended purpose, however is working beautifully. I may try these for hanging light weight pictures. I attach a piece of steel banding (available at home centers, just cut the amount you need with a hacksaw) to the picture.

Like um, will buy again
I've many rare earth magnets, and use them for many purposes like holding my backyard gate open, holding items up in the rafters of the carport. I JB weld them onto my dewalt drills to hold bits or screws, so useful. This model is new to me with the counter sunk center hole. Working well and I will purchase them again. smile

They hold pretty heavy tools!!
I replaced the peg board in my workshop with these. Instead of tool holders falling off of the peg board every time I reach for pliers these magnets hold the tools in place conveniently and securely. Added benefit is screwdriver tips can be magnetized if you hang them by the tip.
