SLP 09-116 - Performance Muffler for Polaris RZR 900 Trail/S/XC/4 and ACE XC 900

Looking for a little better performance and better sound. Not sure about the performance as I installed a tuner and clutch kit at the same time. But this makes my 2018 RZR 900 S sound like a whole new animal. Not obnoxiously loud but a deeper throatier growl. the exhaust comes with 1 new spark arrester and you must use the 1 from the old exhaust or buy a new one. I used the old one and tried to polish it up to match the new one. As a precaution I installed heat shield on my rear plastics where it comes close to the pipe. Not sure if it needed it but I had it laying around and thought it might be a good idea. Overall I’m extremely happy with the SLP can. Oh and install was a breeze.

Like the dual exhaust look and the sound. improvement in low end torque. Had to use exhaust heat wrap to keep the plastic on the RZR from burning. Simple to wrap muffler in heat wrap and avoid damage to rig and possible fire.

Initially wasn't sure about ordering this because the image shown looks totally different than pictures in the reviews. I checked the manufacturer's site and saw that the item number matched their nice black and stainless muffler. Amazon just has the wrong item pictured.The muffler arrived quickly and looked great right out of the box. Super easy install! I took the recommendation of other reviews and added some heat shield wrap to the exhaust pipe only, not the muffler. It seems like there is plenty of space between the plastic rear piece on the RZR and has its own insulated heat shield installed.The sound is really nice and throaty at idle and rpms up to about 6000. Then it brightens up but still ok.Looks great on the RZR!8/14/2020 update. Do not buy this!! After a couple hours of riding the muffler got so hot it melted $500 worth of plastic!! Even though I wrapped the inlet, the muffler got so hot it melted the plastics. Thought this install was simple and it seems that way but the muffler sits at slightly different angle than stock which can cause an exhaust leak.I'm hoping I can return it and get a factory one.

it did bolt on correctly but it has the same rattle and no better sound than the stock muffler it almost like there is a broken weld inside the stock muffler and the new muffler maybe thats just how the 900 sounds anyway sold the junk and bought a krx so its not a problem anymore but beware if you are trying to get rid of the rattle this wont do it sadly thats the only reason i bought it

Good sound without being annoying loud
