First of all, it says they are Japanese tea cups and lists the size clearly. It says they are frequently returned do to small size. They are exactly what they are supposed to be. Small size tea style cups. I have bought 25 of these so far. All are beautiful and perfect. I use them in cacao ceremonies. They are the perfect size and would work well are tea cups also. Everyone who has used them with me loves them and wants one for themselves. I am and will continue to buy more.

The inside of the cups are not as deep as they appear on the outside, so the capacity is leaser than I had anticipated. I ended up returning these because of the size and also because I wanted to use them for hot beverages which might not be advisable.

This was an excellent purchase. I was very impressed with the packaging of the product. The quality is excellent for the ceremony I used it for. I actually gifted the participants with a cup and this was very well received. They expressed their attraction to the cup and was so happy when I gifted it to them.

They look great but they have lacquer on the inside and to me that seems to be a mode of poisoning myself. I took a piece of sandpaper to one of them where I put my lips and the inside just too prevent myself from being poisoned. I figured the purpose of the wood cup was to infuse more wood into my scotch but it doesn't make sense if there's lacquer preventing any kind of infusion

whatever i drink out of these cups, you'd better believe i am drinking it mindfully

These cups are very small. And when I say that, we are normally used to 8 oz 12 oz and 16 oz cups. These are 5 oz. But they are the light to hold and they keep your warm drinks warm but I don't know about hot drinks.
