Purchased for cutting Aluminum railings.
Installing aluminum railing around a patio. Purchased an inexpensive chop saw from H.F. Installed this blade, worked great, nice straight cuts, blade will probably outlast the saw. It is a heavy blade and the saw brake doesn't stop it.

Value and Longevity
Update April 2019:I'm still using this brand of blades in my metal cutting saws, including a Dewalt 14", a Evolution 14" and a Milwaukee 8" hand saw. I've noticed a review asking other reviewers about technique, so I thought I would share what works best for me.-When cutting flat bar like 4"x¼" always clamp the piece vertically in the saw so that the blade is cutting the thinnest cross section possible. This will keep the heat buildup to a minimum, increasing blade longevity.-When cutting angle iron, Clamp the material in an upside-down V so the angle is pointing up and there is no perpendicular cutting, again this will keep the heat down and increase blade life. Be sure to support the cut off piece so that the blade doesn't bind as it finishes the cut.-Square tubing is a little trickier, but try to cut so that the blade is not cutting on a flat side. If you have a lot of material to cut it may be worth making a simple jig to orientate the tube in a diamond position instead of laying it flat the saw bed. There is a balance here between material thickness and volume of cuts required. You be the judge on what works best.I hope this may help some of y'all get the most out of your money with these blades.Original review November 2016 below:I use these blades to cut steel pipe, tubing, plate and angle iron. They last for a very long time if you take care to secure the stock in the saw's clamp firmly and keep the cutoff piece supported while cutting. Don't crowd the blade, let it cut and it will perform well for a surprisingly long time. The price is probably the best for the useful quality of the blade. I run a structural welding business, and this is the best value I've found yet. We run these in a DeWalt 14" saw(I now like the evolution if your in the market for a saw) that is intended for use with these blades. I wouldn't use these if you have the saw intended for abrasive blades. From my understanding it is too high speed to use these effectively. I Highly Recommend this brand.

Cuts Like Butter - Better than Abrasive
Cuts through metal like butter! I installed this blade on my Evolution Rage2 saw and it works flawlessly. Having recently upgraded to the Rage2 from an abrasive saw (NEVER again) the difference is amazing. No abrasive/metal dust everywhere, you get small metal shavings, but they are much easier to clean up and next to no sparks. The cut is smooth, clean, and accurate. No dross to clean up like with the abrasive saw.Be mindful though that you rate of cut and amount of downward pressure must be carefully monitored. You should apply steady, LIGHT pressure, and let the blade do it's work. If you push too hard/fast you'll kill the blade. I expect this blade to last quite a while before needing to be resharpened ($20 at local shop). HIGHLY recommended!!!

I give it a 4.5 stars because...
This blade is being used to cut 80/20 t-slot 1" Aluminum (6105 alloy) extrusions and softer unknown Aluminums. It cuts with no problem on a Porter-Cable chop saw running at 3800 rpm.(https://www.amazon.com/PORTER-CABLE-PCE700-Amp-Chop-Saw/dp/B00NI2CF28/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1543204629&sr=8-1&keywords=porter+cable+chop+saw&linkCode=sl1&tag=essential050-20&linkId=cff22585bcf9b5e22e26a687cceb6355&language=en_US)The cutoff ends generally are very smooth and even shiny. We use a wax stick lube. Without some lube the Al might gum up the teeth and quality will fall, as I've had happen with other blades.Another benefit is that is does a great job cutting 2x4s fast and very smooth! (No lube, of course!).Why the 4.5? There is a bit of wobble, so I always go a hair long on cuts. Once I know the error it is easy to compensate, but I would rather not to need to do that.

Don't Buy this Blade
We regularly cut metal studs using a Low RPM Cold Cut Metal Cutting Circular Saw Blade with at least 80 teeth. We will easily make 300 to 400 cuts per project and use the same blade for multiple projects. The studs we are cutting are from 20, 18, 16, 14, and 12 gauge and vary in size. We use the "IRWIN Tools Metal-Cutting Circular Saw Blade, 14-inch, 80T (4935559)" at $85 a pop and I decided to try and get that down some, so I bought 2 of the "Oshlun SBF-140080 14-Inch 80 Tooth TCG Saw Blade with 1-Inch Arbor for Mild Steel and Ferrous Metals". I usually try and have at least 2 on hand, just in case I forget to order one.I was starting a new project and decided the current irwin blade had made it through enough projects and put one of the brand new oshlun blades on. With in a few cuts one tooth, sheared completely off. I was glad I had a backup blade and put another brand new oshlum blade on. Again with in a few cuts, it lost a tooth. One of the blades actually lost 3 teeth. So I lost two brand new blades in a matter of minutes. I had no other backup except for the irwin that I took off and had already went through several projects. I put the irwin back on and it cut all the metal for the entire project, without shearing a tooth. I am sticking with the irwin blades and I will not be buying Oshlum, unless I absolutely have to (like for the evolution Rage 3-DB that requires an 8" with 1" arbor).Maybe I got a bad batch, but 2 of them in a row, kind of hurt the pocket.I don't write reviews but once in a blue moon, and decided this was worth mentioning, to keep others from making the same mistake.

Fantastic for Extruded Aluminum
I installed this blade in my Milwaukee abrasive chop saw. I carefully looked at the blade speed and determined this would match up. This blade makes perfect, clean cuts in extruded aluminum (80/20 type material). The only drawback i see when using this in an abrasive saw is the time to get the blade up to speed and slow down after cuts. Be careful. Use plenty of blade lubricant as well.

Another blade
Used for a couple days. Already lost a tooth on it. Much cheaper than in store so you get what you pay for.

Oshlun pésimo
Pésimo lo use menos de 10 veces y ya no sirve, ahora hace solo mucho ruido y saca chispas como si fuera disco de desbaste

Good for aluminum extrusion
Cuts come out very smooth. Although I used blade stick lubricant on the blade.

Just installed in on my saw to replace the previous ...
Just installed in on my saw to replace the previous brand of blade. Have yet to see how long it will last but so far it cuts true and smooth for a lower cost. Unless blade life is noticeably shorter than my previous brand I suspect I will purchase these from now on.

Dozen aluminum cuts and 2 teeth broke off!
Cuts aluminum like hot knife through butter! But 2 teeth broke off after only about 12 cuts. SucksREVISED FEB 28/18I notified Oshlun of the broken teeth on my blade and (without any difficulty) offered a replacement blade! That is first class service in my books!! 2 thumbs up for these guys!
