Does what it says. All working fine

Bought one to have in the kitchen and it's still doing great. Never had it go off which I suppose is a good thing but it's there for peace of mind

Finally got this working without having to send back. In case it helps anyone else, the unit comes ALREADY 'fitted' with the batteries - only they are covered in plastic so arean't making contact (you only realise that later), so the 'test' button doesn't work yet. Couldn't see any small slip / pull of plastic to remove that covers the battery terminals in other electrical items sometimes. The instructions are all about fitting in the batteries yourself - but the unit is already fully closed with the wall bracket and no batteries in the pack (because they are already installed). No instructions on exactly how to remove (or reinstall!) the back panel...... SO - to remove it you slide that back panel along (rather than trying to prise it open and off the back). Then you see the batteries are already in, but pastic covered (so obviously remove that plastic and reinstall them and slide the back cover on). Maybe I was being dozy (as there is an arrow on the illustration) but nowhere in the writing does it mention how to access that back panel / battery unit. It's as if it shoudn't have been packaged like that as it nearly looked as if it wasn't working when tested and was talking about fitting in the batteries yourself.... All good now though and the test button works fine. Can be wall mounted but I will leave mine on a shelf (and then it's portable to take anywhere you might be going to stay)

That it works really well,the first one I had lasted 9years and the battery does last that long highly recommended

GOOD ITEM FOR THE PRICE

Still going strong and no problems. Safety is important from the invisible and odourless dangers so this is a valuable and reliable item at a sensible price. The readout is useful for personally being able to assure yourself of any level of gases even very low. Highly recommend.

Je suis vraiment satisfait de ce détecteur de monoxyde de carbone Smartwares. Il est facile à installer, avec un écran clair et un bouton de test pratique pour vérifier son bon fonctionnement. Le capteur a une durée de vie de 10 ans, ce qui est un gros plus en termes de tranquillité d'esprit. Le design est simple et discret, et il semble solide. Pour l'instant, tout fonctionne parfaitement. Reste à voir combien de temps les piles fournies dureront, mais je suis confiant dans la qualité du produit. En résumé, un excellent détecteur de monoxyde de carbone, fiable et facile à utiliser, à recommander pour assurer la sécurité de la maison !

This Smartwares CO detector works as expected. The display is easy to read, the alarm is loud enough to hear from another room, and the test button is responsive. The 10-year sensor life and included long-lasting batteries provide extra peace of mind. Would I recommend it? Yes, absolutely for home safety.
