I bought this worklight because I own several Bosch 12v tools, so it made sense to use the same battery.It is plenty bright for the projects I needed it for. Seems rugged enough and feels nice and solid.Couple of small knicks that keeps this from being a 5-star product:- No battery charge indicator. This seems like a no-brainer since all other 12v Bosch tools I own have that feature- Limited mount/hang options. It would be nice to have some way to place the light at an angle vertically.Overall, really solid product which should have years of life.

I use the Bosch 12V system. Good power for driving screws, drilling with my hex driver. The driver is also small and light so is easy to use in cramped dark areas. Which is why this work light is a great tool! This VERY bright work light creates daylight intensity in work areas. It can be 3 to 10 feet away from your work and you’ll see very well in those cramped dark places. This work light does not come with a battery, but most of us have a pair of batteries, so one in the torch, one in your drill and you’re good.I was so delighted with the brightness and compact form that I bought 2 more for my daughters who have Bosch drivers, and sent them some old batteries that had lost capacity. This work light uses so little current that an old battery will still give hours of light.I really like this light. You will, too.

If you already have a battery its a great little light very durable. I have a 2000 lumen flood light from bosh but is too bulky when working inside a wheel well. This thing is kinda perfect but could use a magnet but it does have a hook which is pretty nice. Besides a magnet probably would fall of with a 6ah battery.

I didnt think I really needed this, but bought it anyway. I have already used it several times and it is very bright and has a nice little hook to fit on a belt loop. Great little tool when you need some light. Works great.

This light makes sense if you already have the Bosch 12v batteries & charger (I have 6 batteries and 2 drills and 2 chargers). I would call this a 'task light' and not a general work light. It is best for working with at a distance of maybe 2-6 feet. I use it for tasks where a flashlight is too small or a work light is too large.It is as simple as can be with only an on-off switch and a hook. There is no cycling thru options like emergency flashers & brightness levels. This would supplement the larger Bosch LED light, or any larger one.I have found myself using for many things such as hooking to to my front belt loop when bringing the garbage out in the early-evening winter darkness. It would be great for walking a dog, or walking the neighborhood at night. For $30, this really worked out for me!

I can't comment on battery life, I bought a generic battery for this light. I wanted a larger base than what the OE Bosch standard capacity battery provides. (11 years experience with a 1/4" impact driver influenced that decision; actually got 2 of them in 2008. Some kind of promo, purchase a 2nd battery and get a certificate for a 2nd driver directly from Bosch.) And a year ago I got a Factory Refurbished 12 volt drill with interchangeable heads, which I just plain love using! Overall I prefer this size tool, it has all the power I need, and if I need a 1/2" drill motor I just grab a corded drill. I ain't proud and have so many corded drills that work just fine. (Not Bosch, but the blue M brand since they entered the US market back in the early 1980's.)As bright as I anticipated. And seems as durable as I have come to expect from Bosch 12 volt (10.8 volt actually, the 12 is a marketing - but hey, gotta 'save face's in the 'size contest) cordless tool.
