Civilian using the Sawfly for general eye protection outdoors in high desert areas of northern Nevada. The Revision Military Sawfly eyewear Large size fits my 7 7/8 size dome giving me good frontal protection, the nosepiece is a near perfect fit, and the strap adjusts easily as I need it and removes without effort when I don't want a strap. Brow part of the frame doesn't irritate my skin and helps keep the lens stable. No noticeable distortion in the lens, and the Solar is a gray shade that seems to work well in most daylight except heavy overcast days when its too dark and shadow detail disappears. Whole system was designed and manufactured perfectly for my needs and use including for high wind days.And, I really wanted the large size in black but the amazon site indicated they out of stock so I ordered the Sawfly Basic Solar Large-Foliage Green. Quite surprised when I opened the package and saw the Revision box was marked "Basic Large BLACK Solar, and that's what was inside the box!Konrad.

This is the 4th pair of these sunglasses I've had. The first pair was issued by the Army, the rest have been replacements I've purchased over the years.Great quality, I like the glasses, but the latest set did not include the retention strap. Given that the strap is shown in the photos and was included with previous purchases, it seems like they're cutting costs but still implying they include the retention strap, which they do not.

Within 2 months of the original purchase but beyond the return window, the lens coating started to bubble and peel under normal wear and cleaning - see photo. After a lengthy and non-productive back and forth discussion with Revision regarding their manufacturer warranty, I come to find out that the warranty only applies to products purchased directly from Revision even though the warranty contained with the product makes no mention of this condition. Consider Smith Optics or Wiley when shopping for quality tactical eye wear.

I LOVE my SawFly sunglasses. These are my 2nd pair. I am going to give my oldest boy, my other SawFly's. They are a great fit and eye protection, plus they are very light weight. I think that they are a must have.I let my boy use my sunglasses when he was mowing,since he had none to wear. I remember when I was young and had to mow. Things get pick up a flung by the mower. It hurt sometimes, &, so, I gave him my pair to wear. They came in handy. He was mowing and the mower had picked up a stick or something and flung it. It bounced off a wall and hit him almost dead center of his eye. There was no damage to the Sawfly and they saved us a trip to the ER. I am glad to have gave him these to wear that day.I am looking forward to getting more Revision's.

I love these, they're comfortable and great at protecting my eyes, both from harmful UV light, but also in case there's any shrapnel from something I'm working on.I like to use them for driving and working outdoors, they're just so good that I don't want to leave home without them.

The glasses are just fine but the retention strap is missing in the package(
