Norpro Cast Aluminum Tortilla Press, Stainless Steel, 6 inch

After reading some of the negative reviews I was reluctant to buy this little gadget but seen that it was so cheap I went ahead and ordered one.I received it in less than 24 hours and straight away put it to the test to make some arepas andI must say that I love it.It is very light and a good size for a small kitchen like mine.Yes, the size of the tortillas are smaller than average but that's not a problem to me because Ithey are a good size to me.Don't believe the negative reviews, buy one and try it for yourself.

This press does a very good job. Gave it four stars because I am just upset that they make it so small. I really wanted at least an 8 inch one, preferably 10 inch so I can make a proper wrap with lots of filling. But I was impressed at how it took me at least half the time and definitely half the effort to make tortillas.

Very nice and sturdy product. Just a little smaller than I thought but it does the job perfectly. I bought it when it was on sale so was ok, but wouldn't spend over £28 on it.

Piece of JUNK (Wish I could say another would for JUNK but can't)! I'm american and have used quite a few tortilla presses (made lots of corn tortilla and even flour tortillas in my short life) but when I moved to the UK I could not fit my tortilla press in my bag so I ended up buying this piece of junk!. For starters there is a large gap at the hinge side that beomes thinner towards the front were the press lever is thus u make half as tortilla's (think one side so thin you can't get it off plastic wrap all the way to so thick it aint a torilla at all!) (side note use plastic wrap to make it easier to remove tortilla for those that dont know). I was hoping that the reivews were by people who had no clue what they are doing with a tortilla press but I stand corrected!If the seller was smart they would stop selling these and send them back to the company and demand there money back because the item is JUNK!I will be buying a new one hopefully today if not some time this week. I miss having proper corn tortilla cuz the only things I can find here in the UK is flour tortilla's with corn meal/ flour in them (those are not PROPER corn tortillas).

I had a smaller one of the same brand which only made really small tortillas so I ordered this one. This is much bigger and better and I can make more usable sized tortillas. It seems fairly sturdy and should last a good long time so overall I'm very happy with it.

This is not highly polished aluminium as the seller states. It has been chrome plated. If the plating were poorly applied it will flake off at some point. If it well done it will last many years.Overall the casting is of a poor quality. The pressing surfaces on mine had flaws at the edges and there was some inclusion. That is there was some grey ?metal in the pressing surfaces. Which tells me the metal mix used for casting had other things in it. Maybe they just fell in.The design is OK and it does the job. However once shipping and Tax is added it comes to over £30.00. Quite simply that makes it way over price for the quality.

AMAZING! Who knew there was such an invention! I bought some corn flour from Amazon to make gluten-free tortillas and this popped up. Incredibly easy to use - you just stick a blob of dough inbetween two pieces of greaseproof paper and press down. In an instant you have super flat tortillas which only take a few minutes to cook and taste DELICIOUS! Not one of those gadgets that you buy and quickly ends up in the back of your cupboard

Light weight, thin, easy to use, and store. I would prefer larger tortillas, but it works great! I used Maseca Masa Harina Corn Tortilla Flour and the tortilla stuck to the press a little. I used plastic wrap to prevent the tortillas from sticking which worked well. I'm happy with the press, although I would have purchased a larger one if I had the choice.
