For years I've bought Lego sets that build specific things, but with the price of Lego going up and up I've decided to change things up a bit. Yes, building specific kits is cool but I've often thought you're paying more for the design than the actual Lego elements. This large plastic Lego box comes with 790 pieces and is enough to get anyone started on their own creative Lego journey. The only thing you're limited by is your imagination. There is a large selection of pieces inside that range from picket fences, flowers, roof tiles, windows, doors and wheels and although there are a lot of small pieces, they are vital for adding a little detail to different creations. I've not had my set long but I've already managed to build a house and little garden surrounding it. If you're looking for a set that will allow you to build large items all in one colour than this isn't the set for you, but if you're willing to free style it a bit then it's excellent. What's inside? * A selection of Lego in numerous bags separated by colour * A bag of greens * A bag of grey / white * A bag of tan / brown * A bag of pink / purple * A bag of red / brown * A bag of yellow / orange * A bag of black / grey * A bag of blues * One small base board * Instruction manual to build a couple of simple things * Windows, doors, wheels and flowers are mixed amongst the bags Upon opening the box for the first time it looks pretty full but once all the contents of the bags are emptied the box is only about a third of the way full. It's a bit disappointing but there's enough there to get a person started and there's room to add to the Lego collection over time. The box is plastic which is sturdy and saves you having to buy a separate container too. I paid £27.99 for this and thought it was worth the money - especially when you compare the price piece by piece with a predesigned set - but I wouldn't pay any more than this. Happy building!

As described and expected. Basic blocks with a variety of different basic build elements for simple builds or bulking out existing blocks. Once opened and emptied into the storage box it is about half full leaving space to store additional bricks
