This is awesome! I've had a Kryptonite 'D' shaped bike lock for some time but with a bottle cage fitted already I could never mount it to the bike frame as it's a huge piece of kit. I found that whenever I was out riding and needed to leave my bike I had to be carrying the lock in my rucksack and as I said it's large and heavy, not something you want on your back.This lock has the benefit of being coiled up relatively small and can fit to a variety of locations on the bike with a quick release bracket (included) to ensure it's always with you and nothing additional for you to carry on your person. I also like the fact it's fully flexible so makes it easy to tie up two bikes and that it's a combination lock so I don't have to remember yet another key but I guess that's personal preference.The one thing I can't testify to is that it's an secure as the Kryptonite but personally I believe any bike lock can be removed given enough desire to do so and all these locks are just meant to make a potential thief think twice and then move on to the next bike which perhaps has no lock at all. What I will say is my bike hasn't be nicked so that's good enough for me!

Bike Lock,Foneso Security Cable Lock Combination Best for Bicycle Outdoors  I recently purchase two of these for my Son's bikes, the combination for lock is easy to adjust, there's an instruction leaflet with pictures but basically you open the lock which is initially set to 00000 then turn a sturdy feeling inner wheel to adjust then input the code you require, turn the wheel back and you are good to go. The size is good the cable extends to 1.2m fully uncoiled so it's not too long but is a good enough size to secure your bike to something that won't move. I haven't used the lock brackets, the quick release seems to work well and I think they are a good idea, as neither of the bikes are full size though and the seats are set in the lowest positions at the moment I'm struggling to find somewhere to mount them. I haven't tried to destroy the lock so I can't comment on how it might stand up to an attack, I'm sure a determined thief would be able to remove it with tools but they were purchased to stop opportunists taking the bikes from the school playground or from outside the local shop and I'm sure they will be fit for that purpose.I would appreciate if you marked this review as helpful or not so that I can improve my future reviews

I recently bought a new bike, so I need to buy a lock which keeps thieves away from my bike.As I love my bike very much, initially I bought a branded and expensive lock, but unfortunately that's very heavy and not fit for my purpose.So I had to quickly buy a new lock. This lock comes to my rescue.This is an excellent lock which is not very heavy and at the same time it looks sturdy. So we can keep it to the bike or keep in your bag. It also has a handy holder to mount the lock to the bike.The down side is the manual which is in Chinese but with the help of the other reviews I was able to set my own number lock.Now there is no hassle of misplacing the keys as I know some of my friends lost their keys and had to cut the expensive and heavy locks to get their bike.The packaging is as usual very good and the item is intact. The package contains1) Lock2) Bike Mount3) User Manual(in Chinese)I would definitely recommend this lock.

This is strong, well-made, easy to use, and very good value for money. Note that it has five security wheels. That does make a difference. But you have to take care - there are a number of similar items on Amazon - I had to return one with instructions on setting the lock that were so badly written I landed up irretrievably locking the thing. The one I now have has Tonyon written on male end. I think it's this one. Time these people sorted out their branding?

This is perfect as a lightweight deterrent lock that you can carry around the whole time. The mounting is secure and neat and the lock itself is quite good quality.A belated update that the mounting snapped after the review and a very few months after purchase. I just have a short commute on OK roads so no excuse for this happening that I can see. Lock is still OK but utility significantly reduced. Rating downgraded accordingly.

Received it before the estimated day of arrival. Setting up the 5 digit combination was fairly straight forward and it came with instructions. Looked very strong and hard to break, unless I guess someone who brings wire cutter, but it is quite thick so probably will take them ages to cut through it. The only thing I don't get is the little connector to the bike that it came with as it doesn't really attach to the wire or the bike securely, so I don't get the whole point of it. Other than that, it's a thumbs up!

I've bought this lock twice - should have learnt from the first experience.First experience - Lock jammed and I had to borrow bolt cutters from the nearest DIY store to break the lock.Second experience - I bought this lock again as it's so easy to use and carry around and a great price. Locked my bike up and the lock snapped! Won't be buying again.

been using this until i can get myself a D-lock, so far so good i still have my bike!both parts connecting the number lock have come a little loose but still all in working order, i would recommend this for a second lock to lock your front wheel and get a D-lock for the frame and the back wheel for extra security!

J'aime trop mon vélo mais je n'aime pas avoir des clefs différentes pour tout donc ce cadenas est parfait.Un code à 5 chiffres, un système pour le faire tenir sur mon vélo quand je ne m'en sert pas et surtout il est assez long pour s'attacher à un poteau ou un banc. Le clip pour le detacher semble tenir. A voir dans le temps.Pas trop cher et pratique, que demander de plus :)

Nunca me he fiado de los candados de combinación, desde que hace tiempo aprendí a abrir las maletas y algunos candados con este sistema. Aún así, teniendo en la familia cinco bicis y habiendo perdido múltiples llaves de candado de bicicleta me he animado con este y me ha parecido bastante fiable. Obviamente lo va a partir una cizalla, y no vale para dejar la bici abandonada por mucho tiempo, sino para ratos cortos, pero el cable es suficientemente gordo y el cierre suficientemente seguro como para que sea necesaria cierta herramienta y que los descuideros no puedan llevársela.

L'unica pecca le istruzioni sono in giapponese o in inglese e dai disegni sembra facile cambiare la password ma non è così tanto che credevo fosse difettoso .ho dovuto usare il traduttore di Google e poi ci sono riuscita
