Great tool for hardened steel
I needed an insert to work on a hardened steel shaft and decided to give this a go, really surprised and pleased with the performance when used on my mini lathe. The tool can take much deeper cuts than my lathe can cope with without stalling, so many passes made with lighter cuts and it worked perfectly. This is an expensive insert so might not use this as an everyday cutting tool but keep it for those difficult jobs where it’s high performance will deliver excellent results.
