Solid and well made
This product is very well made and looks very secure. Will deter casual attempts to remove unless the thief has bolt-cutters or a saw to cut through the table it is attached to!

Not bad for the money, good lock.
The packaging for this is a strong slim cardboard box that protects the item perfectly.Note that this cable is designed only for specific Dell laptops/tablets with a wedge lock slot, so check compatibility on the Dell website. This is a simple keyed lock that is simple to set up. The lock is a strong design and will survive any normal attempt to break it, short of industrial equipment. The much more likely target is the cable itself, which is thin and easy to remove with bolt cutters. Therefore this is not going to be useful anywhere that someone can carry that tool in and do the business unnoticed. I would certainly not secure a high-value (i.e. £500+) product with this sort of cable. The current price of only £22 is not too high, which makes a change for Kensington products. I would pay a maximum of £25 for this cable.Overall this is a good quality simple lock for securing low-value/old laptops.

Check your Dell!
This is very strong and very simple to use, pretty much can't go wrong really. I recommend locking and unlocking it a few times when you first use it as it was a bit stiff but it was fine after that. Check your Dell device is compatible. It is easy to carry around and is very long, maybe a bit long actually but then again I don't need it to be that long but for some devices the length will be useful and for some essential. Easy to carry around and not too heavy to pop into your backpack or bag. Good quality and value. Should last a long time as it is very sturdy and strong.

This is not a N17 type lock! - and you have to pay for the return postage!
This is plainly not a N17 type lock - and then you find out you have to pay for the return postage... sounds like a scam to earn money over the postage of refundable items to me... I'm not happy - and nor is my laptop - as it it needs to be secured...And now the item has been 'down costed' to £10 on my return notice - but this cost me originally £26... I will be taking this up with Amazon directly...

It fit!
When I changed laptops I had no idea that all tie down slots were not the same size. Got a quick education and ordered this one that fit perfectly.

Innaccuracte Product Description
I recently made the unfortunate decision to purchase the Kensington Slim N17 2.0 Keyed Dual Head Laptop Lock, and my experience has been marred by a critical flaw that the product page conveniently fails to disclose – a significant size discrepancy between the two heads. What was promised as a "Dual Head" laptop lock turned out to be a security nightmare, with one head too large and the other too small, creating a perplexing and frustrating situation for any user. The primary N17 head, while standard in size, is dwarfed by its oversized counterpart. It's not just a slight difference; it's a substantial mismatch that renders the smaller head ineffective and the larger one an unwieldy monstrosity. Attempting to secure a laptop with this disproportionate lock feels like fitting a square peg into a round hole – an exercise in futility.Shockingly, nowhere on the product page does Kensington deign to mention this critical size discrepancy. The lack of transparency regarding the dimensions of each head is an egregious oversight that leaves customers grappling with a subpar security solution. One would expect a company of Kensington's reputation to provide accurate and comprehensive information about the product they're selling, especially when it comes to a security device. The frustration is compounded by the fact that users are left to discover this size mismatch only after making the purchase. It's deceptive marketing at its worst, leaving customers feeling betrayed and questioning the reliability of a product that was supposed to enhance, not compromise, the security of their valuable equipment. In conclusion, the Kensington Slim N17 2.0 Keyed Dual Head Laptop Lock is not just a letdown; it's a product that introduces unnecessary complications and risks due to a glaring size discrepancy. If you value the security of your laptop, I strongly advise against investing in this misleading and impractical lock. Look elsewhere for a reliable and properly proportioned security solution that doesn't leave you wrestling with mismatched components.

Works fine with Latitude 5501
I had earlier purchased a Kensington combo lock for my Latitude 5501 and it wouldn't fit. This was also listed as compatible so I tried it and it does fit in the hole and locks. This is a key lock rather than a combo, so keep track of where you put the key.One thing that impressed me is how small the lock head is. I'm used to big clunky things hanging off the side of the laptop, but that's not the case here.
