Great Camera!
I've never owned an SLR camera although it's always been something I have always wanted to have. I now have a 2 year old and thought I had the perfect subject to practice on. I bought based on reviews mainly as it said it was a pretty good starter camera and there are so many to chose I felt daunted with all the choice. I have to say it's exceeded my expectations! I really love it! Had a few friends with a canon camera but older models, you can really tell the difference with this camera. I haven't ventured far from the auto settings on the camera (close up, sports mode, portrait etc) and if I'm honest I'm not quite sure how to do that yet but for now the photos I'm getting are more than what I wanted. They're clear, crisp images. The camera isn't too heavy to hold. The option to immediately download onto my phone is brilliant! Great for instantly sending to family and show off my new hobby. The camera was easy to set up, easy to point and shoot and get a great image. I'd recommend this 100%. I am a complete noice with SLR's and I find it very easy to use. I do have other cameras but never one as in depth as this. I am really looking forward to my holiday to Cornwall this year to practice some more!

For a beginner must have camera
Hi first of all this camera is absoult great for the money I own the canon 80d but the misses wanted a camera like mine so we decided to go for the canon 1300d. it is impressive for the money it's a great camera if your starting out in the photography world. The lens I used for the picture you see wasn't the kit lens u get with the camera,so your aware I used the 10-18mm efs lens. This camera can also double up with your phone so u can transfer images straight away with out the use of a computer or u can use your phone as a second screen so if you do portrait photos u can show the subject what it will look like before the shot has been taken. The only thing I will say that isn't to great is the fact it takes a while for it to focus on the subject you want But if u are serious bout photography and want a good slr camera to start learn with before u upgrade to the more expensive ones then this is a great one to start of with

Perfect beginner camera!
I love how this camera let's you sort out your own settings, while having auto modes that can help you along as well. It's informative when you choose different settings, so if you are a complete beginner, you're not left at sea with the functions. It take superb photos, and the fact that you can just connect your photo to your camera directly, makes it so much easier to transfer your photos. It did take me a short while to figure out how to connect it, but it was my own fault as I didn't read the instructions first (was too eager to get going). For the price, this camera is a definite 5* rating.

Good quality, good price. Happy.
- My first Canon, the pictures it takes are amazing, to be a novice camera, is not bad, de video sound is improvable, but is good enough - The camera it has a little scratch in the left top, and the screen as well, but runs perfectly. - The battery duration is enough to take photos a day in the fields, is for what I wanted. So I give 4 stars, a little scratches in the screen and top left of the camera, and the lens is a bit dirty, but well, could be worst, I am happy with the product I bought and now I just need to enjoy it and learn how to take proper photos. Cheers lads.

Then I did a crash course in photography via Youtube/internet and realised this is 'Not' a good camera. It's only when I started to play
Ok.. I'm not one for reviews but.. After owning this camera for one week I though it was a 'Great beginner Camera'.. Then I did a crash course in photography via Youtube/internet and realised this is 'Not' a good camera. It's only when I started to play, I found the limitations of the 1300D. I then did some research and purchased the 200D and OH MY GOODNESS.. With out going into the why's and against's (and if you can afford the extra (which I urge)) you will not be disappointed. This is the 'Starter' and beyond camera. Have a search of 200d v 1300d on Youtube; In fact I would say Learn the photography basics then start Youtube'ing. For me Knowing what I now know re Photography (which is way more than when I initially purchase the 1300d.) The 200D is 'Value for money'. Like I say I'm not one for writing reviews but Im so impressed with the 200D I felt I needed to save the Photo Noob's from making the same initial mistake I made. All the Best.

Great value for money
Canon EOS 1300D DSLR Camera with EF-S18-55 DC III F3.5-5.6 Lens - Black A very good spec for the price. Using as a second camera with standard lens and my other camera fitted with a telephoto zoom/macro to save me have to swop lenses on the same body. The Canon 1300d was very easy to set up straight out of the box.Lightweight, but feels solid and well built, the HD movie feature is a bonus and produces excellant results. Have only had the camera for a few days but the initial results are very good and I am sure the camera will serve me well. No indication how many shots from the battery so will probably invest in a second battery in due course.

Great entry camera
I chose this Canon EOS 1300D DSLR on my son's recommendation as he is a serious enthusiast and has all the Canon range. I am not disappointed. I love my camera as an entry camera to the huge world of photography. I can't stop taking pictures trying to learn how to use all the different functions and features. I find it easy to learn and use. It is lightweight, well made and good quality. I don't know about all the technical bits but for me, it takes brilliant pictures and there is a wealth of information online from Canon as an App which I have already obtained.
