Works Well Thus Far
I use TP Link plugs a lot and they work very well. As a result, I have been using KASA for several months and it has improved considerably in that time. However, this was to be my first TP smart light bulb and I had read varying reports on them. Thanks to another user who kindly answered my two key concerns I decided to give one a try. The order was processed quickly and efficiently as usual on Amazon and the bulb arrived on time and well packaged. Rather than larger overall, the bulb is longer than a typical LED bulb if you use the bayonet adaptor, but for my roof lamp which has a deep glass shade it was fine. The bulb itself looks of good quality and the bayonet adaptor fits very well. The information sheet and booklet are similar in style to those of the plugs. To be frank, it isn't that clear from the paperwork how you should install the thing but that's because the real instructions are within the KASA app itself. The main thing to note is that when you turn the bulb on for the first time, it should blink three times. From then on the App will tell you what to do. Once integrated into my KASA account, it did an update. This is important so let it do it. From then on, it turned on, off and changed intensity at the swipe of a finger. So far, it has not dropped wifi connection - but as I understand it, that was the main purpose of the update. It works on wifi whether connected to the wider internet or not. So if your internet service provider goes down, it will still work locally using the KASA app as long as your own hub wifi is on. Clearly you also have to leave the light's main switch on at all times. It cannot work without power ! ( I use one of these small round sticky red labels on the switch to remind me not to turn the switch off.) The bulb does hum slightly if you reduce the light intensity and this may irritate if the lamp is situated close by. At 100% power, or when switched off, there is no hum at all. Cannot comment yet on durability but for now, take silence as a positive. I'll update this if it goes bang ! It also allows remote control for Alexa voice control etc. In my case, there was no difficulty integrating the bulb into my Google Home system, and using its Routines, the bulb operates fine alongside my other home automation. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Great bulb at a great price!
I was incredibly impressed with TP-Links smart bulb offering. The tech is very well implemented, the product is nice to look at and not too much bigger than a standard bulb. I also LOVE the fact that TP-Link include a B22 adapter IN THE BOX! I have a full, in-depth review/write-up on my blog, which can be found here: https:// willstocks dot co dot uk /review-tp-link-lb110-wifi-led-smart-bulb/ or alternatively use the link in my Amazon profile. But as an overview to my findings: Setup/Install is a complete breeze. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Kasa app and you'll be up and running in no time. The bulb connects to your home WiFi network and I feel it’s worth noting at this point that the bulb only supports the 2.4GHz wireless frequency, so if for whatever reason you’re only outputting 5GHz…. this is something to consider! I didn’t have any major issues, the bulb simply worked – no dropping off the network, no non-responsiveness and setup just worked. Something I mention in my blog post: The bulb did seem to get very warm to the touch. Another thing mentioned in my blog post: Within the Kasa app, I’m really not a fan of the decimal time. This is entirely personal opinion, but it’d be nice to have the option to switch between decimal and hrs/mins. Features: Single colour – White Single colour temperature – 2700K 800 Lumens (60w incandescent equivalent) 270° wide angle beam 11W required to power (at 60W equivalent brightness) WiFi enabled (no bridge/specific router required) Dimmable via app Bulbs can be grouped with other TP-Link smart devices Clean and simple Kasa app to control ALL TP-Link smart devices Low power LED’s for incredible cost savings Claimed bulb lifetime of 22.8 years Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant A bayonet (B22) adapter is included in the box!
