I bought this so that I can work easily on my lap and also to be able to watch films without having the sound muffled by the speakers which are underneath my pc - thanks to the people who replied to my product question about this issue, prior to my purchase.I have another Belkin product so know that they are decent looking and well made.I am pretty sure that the Cush Desk is going to be very useful indeed. It is light weight, nice looking, well enough made, large enough to use a mouse on.The cushion underneath means that it is comfortable to have on your lap, no need to sit particularly straight to have a typing surface and no heat from the pc.The rigid faux leather surface on top is smooth and nice to the touch and is an ideal surface to work on. There is a small ridge on which to rest the computer so it doesn't slip around. And ideally, sound is not muffled when listening to audio.I think that this is a great addition to my set up, works well, looks decent and is reasonably priced.

I'm actually not using this for my Notebook. I'm using it as a lap desk with my full size wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. I'm using a 320 X 250 mouse mat on the thing and it looks a treat. It's actually perfect for my requirements. Just pick the lot up and place it on the floor when I need to etc. The item is actually really well made, with a clean smooth plastic, wipe clean surface. The cushion is well padded and comfortable when in use/It's light in weight..you barely know it's on your lap.I've yet to try the thing with my notebook but I'm pretty sure it'll be just fine for that purpose.With all things considered I would highly recommend this unit. The price is good, it's made well..and also looks really smart. I looked at lots of these types of surfaces but chose this one..I'm pleased I did.

Bought this to use with a MacBook Pro Retina 15 - the laptop fits comfortably and it has a small rest to stop the laptop sliding off the front. A slight angle is built into the stand which helps ergonomically, although the surface is quite slippery so care must be taken to ensure the laptop does not slide off especially sideways if on your knees and you happen to move about, and if your laptop is in a cover (like mine is) without much grip which compounds the problem. The stand itself is very light and easy to carry and although fairly bulky it is not heavy at all. The cushion itself is pretty firm, but this works fine for me when resting on thighs or wherever. Overall would recommend as keenly priced, light weight but robust and well designed (but for that overly slippery surface hence not 5 stars).

I have owned this product for four years and used it pretty much every day. It is still just as good as when I first got it and has not deteriorated at all. It is a solid strong build, very durable and fit for purpose.So impressed am I with this product, that this morning when grabbing it with my laptop on top and bringing it back to bed I felt compelled to leave a review so anyone else looking for a similar product can know of the long term stability of this.Mostly it has been used on my lap when sitting in an armchair or on the sofa but I recently upgraded my desk set up and have been using it still to raise up my laptop closer to eye level.The foam on the bottom still provides good cushioning and does not seem to have flattened at all, all the stitching is still in tact and it still remains a solid product. The only damage is things I have caused myself, mostly grubby marks on the bottom fabric where it looks like I have spilt drinks or something and some surface scratches on the top, many surface scratches actually, but they are very much surface scratches, the top is quite robust indeed. I am not gentle with my use of this, it has been dropped, had very hot embers dropped on the top and is moved around a lot. It is tough and it will last you a long time.The fabric on the bottom is very durable and the only thing wrong with is my dirty marks, there is no noticeable wear to it, it is very hard wearing and reminds me a little bit of the kind of fabric you find on a car seat.Buying products here can often be a bit of a minefield, with so much choice, which is often not great quality you can end up with low end goods that fall apart quickly, this is not one of those, it is well made of incredibly durable materials.The only way I would improve this product is by making a bigger version, with an 18" laptop there is only a couple inches width left and not enough room to place your phone on the surface too, which would be handy, but I would still opt for this over something that did have that feature due to its hard wearing durability.

I bought this because I wanted to use my laptop on my lap since that is what laptops were originally made to do but with new laptops today they need good ventilation and the fans pull cold air from underneath, a laptop cannot do this if the fans are blocked by your legs.This lap desk is light weight and very comfortable, with a solid surface that your laptop sit's on but, as someone else mentioned in these reviews, when your laptop gets warm/hot under heavy load, the hard surface starts to warp a little but it does return back to its original state afterwards when it's cooled down. To stop my laptop from experiencing slight wobble I just shift my laptop forward over the rubber bar on the lap desk which makes the surface even again.For the price this is a great Lap desk and I would buy again.
